Now a 33-yard punt. You didn’t need to go to Australia. You can find this in Deshler. Or Chase County. Or Fremont.
34-yard punt? Goodness.

That towel move is a real physical therapy technique called a self SNAG, and the speed of the relief tells you something most people never learn about their own neck. Muscle tissue takes weeks of loading to actually lengthen. So when stiffness vanishes in a few seconds, the muscle was never what changed. What changed is the signal your brain was sending to it. The small facet joints stacked down the back of your neck sit at roughly a 45 degree angle. When one of them gets irritated or stops gliding smoothly, your brain protects it by clamping down the surrounding muscles. That clamp is the stiffness you feel. The tissue underneath is usually fine, it's just being held under orders. The towel edge hooks under one vertebra. When you pull forward and up along that 45 degree joint plane while turning your head, you glide the joint through the exact motion it was refusing, with support the whole way. Your brain gets live evidence the movement is safe and drops the clamp. Physical therapists do the same glide with their thumbs and call it a SNAG, short for sustained natural apophyseal glide. Brian Mulligan, the New Zealand physio who developed the method in the 1980s, designed the towel version specifically so patients could run it on themselves at home. Which is why years of stretching can lose to thirty seconds with a towel. A stretch tries to overpower the brain's grip. A glide convinces it to let go.

I can’t think of a more Rockies way under Warren Schaeffer to end the home portion of the season After fighting back being down 12-1 - as they boldly hung Tanner Gordon out to dry. Essentially just giving up on the game. BUT scoring 7 runs after the 6th to make it 12-8. In the B9 they strikeout 1-2-3 with Tovar who had an epically awful season looking at strike 3 punched out upon review 102 losses! Schaeffer Ball! Cya next year at Coors field. @AltitudeSR

DK Metcalf is on his way to 55 receiving yards or less in 12 of his last 13 games and has one touchdown in his last 11 games. He is making $33 million. Might be one of the worst returns on investment in the league right now. #Steelers

WOW! Noah Rau adds 12 (!) feet to his state record in the discus at the SPVA, now No. 2 nationally (Thanks to Rich Barnett at McCook's 96.1 for the head's up!) #nebpreps

You might want to sit down for this one. Noah Rau of Chase County threw the discus 219-06 on his first attempt at today’s SPVA meet at Perkins County. With that throw, the UNL commit breaks Class C and All-Class record of 207-03 he set on April 16. It’s the second longest HS throw in the US this year behind the 225-06 by Simon Rosselli of Spokane Mead in Washington state.

Nebraska HC Matt Rhule took 3 minutes today to talk about mental health following the tragic death of #Cowboys DE Marshawn Kneeland: “Our generation of kids — my kids — they all just say, ‘Yeah, I’m fine. I’m straight.’ You really gotta unearth it. … That young man scored a TD just a couple days ago, and to the outside world you’d think he’s at the pinnacle. But he was dealing with something — I don’t know what it was. But I pray for him, him and his family.” Watch this in full... Incredible message:
Tragedy: #Cowboys DE Marshawn Kneeland has passed away. He was just 24 years old. RIP.

Wait no joke Nebraska this is how you do license plate numbers? By county?
My favorite time of year... it's county numbers time! With state basketball in full swing, we'll likely see many number license plates. Let's make them feel welcome! I've lived in: 61➡️69➡️5➡️2. How about you?

Fortnight is the new sandlot Kids have retreated to video games because it's the one place where adults can’t interfere, control, or critique And it's the one place where they can find autonomy & connection. That used to be sports....But adults ruined it... Bring back play:

Did you know: Straight leg bound + butt kick = fast leg drill???? 🤯 So much of running drills follow the same structure of running… when we combine them in the proper way and train them to be part of our automatic movement, we are running more efficiently, with a faster time and better health while doing it! ✨❤️ Save to add this into your warm up routine! 3x20 meters each drill! 🙌
