If we were all to send Danny Tommo an @RNLI Christmas card simply containing "LOL", it would make a lot of money for a brilliant charity and be hilarious at the same time. Cards can be purchased here shop.rnli.org/collections/ch… Please spread the word.

It is a criminal offence to interfere with the work of the RNLI when carrying out their duties, in the same way it is to do so to the police, ambulance or fire service. legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/200…

Couldn’t access my Virgin Media emails for reasons best known to their system. Having failed to sort myself, spoke to online tech bod who’s first security question was what was date of your last bill (don’t know - receipt is in my emails), how much was last bill (on email) 1/2

I post this every year on 9/11. Never forget.
Trump initial reaction to 9/11 was to claim that he now owned the tallest building in downtown Manhattan.

bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c2lq… “Expanding settlements”, “reshaping”? I’m sure a Russian advance into Ukraine and the theft of land from its owners wouldn’t be reported with the same language.

Why do we call Turkey “Türkiye” these days? We don’t call Spain ‘España’ or Sweden ‘Sverige’.

If capitalism is so great, why do corporations need so many tax breaks, subsidies, exemptions, grants, legal protections, bailouts, and trade protections? When citizens need these things, why is it socialism?

One of rock's most bitter feuds just ended on stage. Ritchie Blackmore hadn't played with Deep Purple since walking out in 1993, and he asked to come back for one song. Last night at Jones Beach, at 81, he played "Smoke on the Water." "I haven't played rock music in 25 years."

Hey @virginmedia - work on your customer service training. Renewed my contract this morning, then a salesman rings me this afternoon trying to sell me an upgrade. When I told him I’d just sorted my package, he simply cut me off without a further word! Good day to you, too, sir.

After dark and once again the sweet scent of the forest fire 20 miles away descends. Surprised there aren’t smoke alarms sounding all around 🔥

Just had flyer from @RoyalMail saying they’ll deliver 2nd class mail every other day. Great news: we’re lucky if we get a delivery once a week. Today’s was first delivery since July 11, but we had 19 letters all at once - luckily hospital appointment had been followed up by email
