Putting the spotlight back on our very own Carlisle Anderson! We are continuing to celebrate the outstanding recognition members of Team CSBD received at the 2026 Workforce Professional Development Summit in Orlando, and today we are highlighting Carlisle Anderson, CareerSource Broward’s Community Outreach Liaison. Carlisle received the Workforce Advocate Award, one of the Summit’s highest Champion distinctions, recognizing his commitment to championing Florida’s workforce system and connecting individuals, businesses and community partners with workforce opportunities. Anyone who has seen Carlisle at work knows how much he values relationships and community connections. Whether representing CareerSource Broward at an event, meeting with a partner or connecting someone with an opportunity, Carlisle brings energy and genuine commitment to the people and communities we serve. Congratulations again, Carlisle, on this well-deserved statewide recognition! “I’m truly humbled and grateful to have received the Workforce Professional of the Year and Workforce Advocate awards at the Florida Workforce Professional Development Summit in Orlando. Shining a light once again on our very own Yushika Florence! Following her recognition at the 2026 Workforce Professional Development Summit in Orlando, we wanted to take another moment to celebrate Yushika and the work that earned her the Florida Workforce Lighthouse Award. As CareerSource Broward’s Manager of Youth Programs & Services, Yushika brings tremendous dedication to creating opportunities for Broward County’s young people. Much of that work happens behind the scenes, which makes the Lighthouse Award especially fitting. The statewide honor recognizes an individual whose dependability, leadership and commitment consistently go above and beyond, particularly during times of challenge and change. We are proud to see Yushika’s commitment to our youth, our organization and Florida’s workforce system recognized on a statewide stage. “Receiving the Lighthouse Award is very humbling, but accolades have never been my compass in life. Every day, my focus is on the youth we serve and the belief that our program can help transform their lives. A lighthouse stands firm so others can find their way through rough waters, and that is how I view my role. By doing the quiet, dependable work behind the scenes, I hope to clear the path ahead and be a fierce, steady voice for those who are too often forgotten. Thank you for this honor and for believing in the work we do every day!” – Yushika Florence, Manager of Youth Programs & Services, CareerSource Broward #CareerSourceBroward #WorkforceDevelopment #YouthPrograms #FloridaWorkforce #WorkforceSummit
