It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our CEO, Karin Sabey. In her year with Care Resource, Karin made an immediate and lasting impact on our health center. She embraced our mission wholeheartedly and challenged us to think boldly about how we deliver care, remove barriers, and support the health and well-being of our patients. Karin believed that healthcare is about more than services. It's about meeting people where they are, treating every individual with dignity, and building stronger, healthier communities. Those values will continue to guide our work. Beyond her leadership, Karin brought authenticity, curiosity, and a genuine passion for serving others. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, innovation, and unwavering commitment to our community. We extend our deepest condolences to Karin's husband, family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her. We are grateful for Karin's contributions and honored to carry forward the mission she believed in so deeply. We are saddened by the passing of Merle Rosenbaum Weiss, a cherished member of the South Florida community and a longtime friend of The White Party. Over the years, Merle's presence brought warmth, generosity, and genuine enthusiasm to the events that united our community in support of Care Resource and the fight against HIV/AIDS. She understood the power of coming together for a cause greater than ourselves and helped make White Party more than an event. She helped make it a family. May her memory be a blessing miamiherald.com/news/local/o…

🎉 Giving back never goes out of style. Care Resource is proud to share that our Food For Life Network food pantry has been selected as a beneficiary of Wonksgiving Miami 2026, hosted by Wonky Willa at Midline Miami on November 28, 2026. Through this special partnership, attendees can support our community by: 🥫 Donating non-perishable food and clothing 🎟️ Contributing through ticket purchases, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Food For Life 👕 Purchasing event merchandise, with 50% of sales donated to the cause For more than three decades, Food For Life Network has helped provide groceries, nutritious meals, and nutrition education to individuals and families facing food insecurity and chronic illness throughout Miami-Dade County. 🤝 Care Resource is proud to partner with United Way Miami to expand access to preventive wellness screenings for our community 💜 Preventive care is one of the most effective ways to improve health outcomes and identify concerns before they become more serious. Through this initiative, our health center is working to increase access to essential wellness screenings, including colorectal cancer screenings, helping ensure that cost is not a barrier to early detection and healthier lives. By connecting individuals with preventive health services, we are helping build a stronger, healthier Miami-Dade where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. This work is part of the Blueprint for Impact, United Way Miami's five-year strategy to drive measurable, lasting change across Miami-Dade. United is the way we make that vision real. #StrongerMiami #UnitedIsTheWay #UnitedWayMiami #CareResource #WellnessScreenings #PreventiveCare #CommunityHealth

🌊♻️ From Healthcare to Shoreline Care This weekend, Care Resource was proud to join community partners, including the Biscayne Neighborhood Association, The Adrienne Arsht Center, Google Fiber, and The International SeaKeepers Society, for International Coastal Cleanup Day 2026 at Margaret Pace Park, Miami. Together, we worked alongside volunteers from across Miami to help protect our waterways, shorelines, and public spaces. From climbing over rocks and collecting trash along the shoreline to sharing information about healthy living and community resources, the day was a powerful reminder that creating healthier communities extends far beyond the walls of our health centers. A cleaner environment supports a healthier community, and we're grateful to all the organizations and volunteers who came together to make a difference.💙 #CareResource #CommunityHealth #InternationalCoastalCleanup #EdgewaterMiami #EnvironmentalHealth #CommunityImpact
