The @SEC legal strategy seems blindingly obvious. The Conference will take action either in federal court or by appealing and asking the state appeals courts to stay whatever lower court injunctions have been issued in favor of former NFL players - or, more likely, they’ll do both. Doing so will create enough uncertainty about whether the injunctions will be stayed or overturned to create an enormous risk for any school that puts a player on their roster whose eligibility is barred by the new SEC rule. If a school takes that risk and the courts allow the SEC to enforce its new rule, God help the school administrators who recklessly made that short-sighted decision. 🙏
