Sonny would be a great fit back in St. Louis.
The team needs a veteran to guide the young arms coming up (Doyle, Franklin, Eagen, Cjinte) and someone who could start a playoff game.

Burleson has 295 career RBIs, that’s 534 behind Ray Lankford for 10th all-time in Cardinals history.
If we extend Burleson for 6–7 years, he has a real chance to finish top 10 all-time in Cardinals RBIs

Joshua Báez on what making his MLB debut means to him and his late father:
“My dad, his dream was to play in the big leagues. … The only promise that I made to him was that I was going to be able to do that for him.
“He’s not here with us, but he’s here in spirit, and I know he’s so proud of me.”
If J.J Wetherholt were to move back to shortstop next season, where do you think he would rank among the league defensively? #stlcards

good morning, everyone. The Cardinals play the Cubs at Wrigley today 😤
Video never gets old😏😎
The pitching prospects of Cijntje, Doyle, and Franklin are on the same timeline as the offense, with Jesus and Josh Baez and Rainiel.
If the Cardinals want to maximize that window, they’ll need more top-end pitching for when they arrive. And they are moving quick.
Campos has an incredible feel for the game. He was always lacking in power but the hit tool and IQ was always going to have him on the radar as a future backup.
His trajectory will impact what they do with Crooks and Bernal and could incentivize a position change for Rainiel.
With all of the great catchers in the #STLCards system, Ryan Campos doesn’t get enough love!
The 23 year old backstop is having a great year at AA Springfield. He’s hit 8 homers, hitting .291 with an .888 OPS.
He was drafted just 2 years ago in the fourth round, and he’s moved nicely through the system, finding some degree of success at each level.
He’s having his best season yet, and only adds to the impressive collection of catchers in the upper levels for St. Louis.
Great example of why Burleson has been so good in his career and Noot has been up and down
Burleson is fearless on 2 strikes here, he knows he can hit anything Paddock throws him
Noot is looking for a walk with a runner on 2nd, he gets caught looking at a pitch he should hit
The Cardinals 1-4 of Wetherholt, Herrera, Burleson and Walker are averaging a combined 140 OPS+.
How many teams have a better top 1-4 than the Cardinals?

Campos has a solid floor as a backup if he continues to develop his power. He has great bat to ball skills and plays with a high IQ.
Of the 13 position players on the Cardinals, 12 of them have played for the Springfield Cardinals.
Yohel Pozo is the only one who has not gone through Springfield.
