This seems worth a look! Particularly pertinent in light of this week’s @EstynHMI thematic report on languages. Really interesting read

Had a great session with John, so helpful. Diolch!
Lovely to catch up today with @CardiffMaths @Caldicot_Sch Really enjoyed our discussions around benchmarks and the opportunity to demonstrate how @alpsva Connect can support Post-16 leaders when evaluating outcomes and tracking student progress.

Honestly I think a lot of teachers on here would fail the first Teacher Standard. They clearly have low expectations of students, and low expectations of themselves.
Spicy, but my opinion.

It was my birthday yesterday. In the only year I will live in that is a square number. The maths geek in me is finding it super fun that I was 45, the square root of 2025!

Next year, 2025, is the only square year most of us will see in our lifetimes (45 x 45). The last was 1936 (44 x 44), the next is 2116 (46 x 46).
Quite relieved there are only six episodes in season 2 of The Diplomat instead of the eight I thought, as I was completely incapable of switching it off and can now recommence life.
Loved it, even better than season 1, when is season 3 please?!

Teaching year 7 for the first time in three years (usually only KS4 and KS5)
Forgot the joys of them leaving g their seat to show you their book during the register to ask if they can leave the three line space at the bottom of the page to write a title on a new page.

So pleased for our year 13 beauties today. All hardworkers, all wonderful and will miss them very much!
