Brilliant to see enforcement and compliance activity stepping up to tackle waste issues on #CityRoad. Looking forward to seeing this rolled out across other shopping areas in #CardiffEast.

16 of the UK’s 20 busiest airports have increased drop-off charges in the last 12 months. ✈ Bristol £8.50 ✈ Heathrow £7 ✈ Gatwick £10 Families need breathing space, not another rip-off fee. That's why I'm pleased the @UKLabour Government is reviewing these charges.

This @UKLabour Government is relentlessly focused on easing the cost of living and unlocking economic growth. Yesterday, the IMF has upgraded the UK’s growth forecast for the second time this year. We are building a stronger, fairer Britain.

When the minority Plaid Welsh Government announced an inadequate £40m for ALN, @WelshLabour said NO. But, we recognise schools and colleges need support now. That is why we called for £60 million, to get money through the door and to the children and young people who need it.
Welsh labour has secured an additional £60 million for ALN. That's 50% more than was on the table earlier this year. £60 million this year is £60 million more than what the Plaid Cymru Government first offered our Schools - but we'll keep fighting for more.

.@KenSkatesMS delivering for families and children in Wales with ALN and proves critical political commentators wrong yet again.
Welsh Labour has secured an additional £60 million for additional learning needs - 50% more than earlier this year. A step in the right direction, but we’ll keep fighting to secure more for our schools.

Our @WelshLabour team has fought tirelessly alongside teaching unions, teaching professionals and council leaders to secure a 50% funding boost for children with ALN. We will continuing fighting for fair funding to deliver the support children and young people with ALN deserve.
Welsh Labour has secured more funding for children and young people with additional learning needs. We will continue to work with teaching unions, local government leaders and teaching professionals to ensure we always get the best possible deal.

Pre Brexit, EU students in Wales spent £83m off campus, boosting jobs and our local Cardiff East economy. Since then, EU students have halved. It’s time for a new, closer relationship with the EU and for both UK and EU students and Cardiff to benefit 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🤝🇪🇺

Too many victims have suffered because abuse has gone unrecognised. I welcome new measures to formally record when offending involves domestic abuse, helping police, probation and prisons identify repeat perpetrators, manage risk and better protect victims.

It’s taken the Plaid minority government 6 months to restate the previous @WelshLabour government’s decision on #CardiffParkway That’s why I raised their silence in @HouseofCommons last month👇 My #CardiffEast constituents need this station asap and I’ll keep pushing for it.
Cardiff Parkway will be a game changer for #CardiffEast, transforming transport links and creating 6,000 jobs. Today, I asked the Welsh Secretary whether the minority Plaid Government has confirmed it will fulfill the existing agreement to support this project.

The last @UKLabour Government gave every child a small trust fund. The Tories scrapped it in 2011 but some remain unclaimed. If you were born between 1st September 2002 and 2nd January 2011, you may be entitled to up to £2,200. Find out more here 👇 gov.uk/child-trust-funds

Brexit has created trade barriers, and obstacles to economic growth that has impacted businesses and working people in #CardiffEast and across the UK. We must take the Brexit brakes off and pursue far closer integration with our dependable European neighbours and allies.
