Pour one out tonight for this poor guys Roman Reigns Super PC. Another guy looks like he graded his whole Charlie Chaplin photograph collection. Those people spent years collecting those things. Insurance can never replace that and PSA is going to low ball them. Sorry fellas.
We've shared an update on the investigation into stolen PSA shipments. psacard.click/CommunityUpdat…

‼️ BREAKING: The private keys of 8 certificates from Indian certificate authority eMudhra were compromised, Mozilla says. Firefox blocked them within 3 hours. Each key should be a 116-digit number, but one was just 4. Anyone can guess them and forge HTTPS certs for any website.

Maybe the COLLECTOR ACTUALLY wanted the autograph 🤷‍♂️
A collector says Topps is replacing his auto redemption with FanCash. People are outraged. But I’m not sure why? FanCash can be used for any card on Fanatics Collect, of which there are millions. This isn’t Panini Rewards with a limited selection. This is much better.

I feel like a big part of the issue with this is that Wizards spent many years training players to care about every set and card before moving into the "this product is not for you" era and trying to teach everyone the opposite.

Dan emailed... --- My name is Dan and I am an avid listener to Rework as well as a big fan of Basecamp, HEY and Omarchy. I am at the early stages of building my own business and would love your thoughts on building a product in a competitive market? In my space, there are competitors but I am confident I can build something better. I wonder how much better does it need to be.  As 37signals have built products competing with giants like Jira, Gmail and Apple, I'm curious if that scares you? Do you worry about the big players? --- I replied... --- Hey Dan- Every market is competitive. Either right now or later if you're doing well. Focus on your own thing. Do your best work. You can't worry, think, or concern yourself with what other people are/can/might do. Do you. The absolute worst thing is to pay such close attention to what everyone else is doing that you trick yourself into just building what they're built. Don't do that, or you don't need to exist. ---

my thoughts on the 2026 National: • the energy was incredible, it is so obvious that the Hobby is alive and well! • there were SO many women buying/selling/trading cards 🥰🥰🥰 • I don’t understand Bo Jackson’s Battle Arena, why are they so expensive? • the upstairs had the best selection of modern cards, but the aisles were too narrow • I am not a fan of the vintage tables with 3 extremely overpriced Ohtani rookie cards • Topps EQL for the NSCC cards went really well for me, I think it’s a much better process than the wrapper redemption. I didn’t like that big breakers would show up with a pallet of cases to get all of the packs years prior • I feel like you see a lot of the same massive cards over and over again. Yes, the 1986 Fleer Jordan is cool - but I saw tons of them • the old adage that “if you can’t find it at the National, then it doesn’t exist” isn’t true. Maybe for Ohtani and Jordan cards, but for players on small market teams absolutely not • 5-day early entry is SO worth it, especially if you’re going for more than a couple days Overall - I had an incredible time! It was such a delight to meet up with friends and talk cards all week. It’s really the people that make the Hobby special! 🩷🩷🩷

My @nsccshow I would imagine is unique compared to others. But, that doesn’t mean I don’t look and make observations. My main objective, and successful one, is to meet as many people as possible. Here are my pros/cons from this year’s National: PROs: • Energy: The hobby is alive and well. This was the busiest National that I’ve attended and it was a very good thing to see. Conversations were had, cards were flowing, and the hobby is growing. • Familiarity: Chicago (Rosemont) is an excellent place to hold this large show. It’s been great from an attendee perspective to have it in the same place. You know the route, where things are, and know the staff are doing what needs to be done. It makes the experience that much smoother. • Security: I would imagine at any one time there were BILLIONS of dollars in cash and cards in that building. Security was present, and I’m not talking about walkie talkies, I’m talking uniformed police walking the floor. It was nice to see that. • Logistics: It was cold in the building, and I don’t think many people minded. It created a comfortable atmosphere for most. The wi-fi was strong, with some spotty areas, but for the most part it was on point. The staff moved the lines quickly, and the early VIP check-in helped. • Activations: The corporate booths were always crowded and had something going on to attract people. Nothing was to loud or obnoxious, and it was a refreshing to see engaging opportunities. CONs: • Crowded: High energy is great, but it was crowded; too crowded. Many times you couldn’t get through from point A to point B. Not sure there is a solution to this, just an adjustment to make. • Same location: While I’m glad the show has been at the same place, it does create some staleness. Nothing changes other than costs, for example, parking doubled YOY. • VIP Space: This space originally was meant as a respite for many. Over the last couple of years it has turned in to a spot for people to set up as dealers at no cost. I don’t blame them for taking advantage, but it is taking space from people that just want to rest from the show. • Lines: I don’t have a solution to this, but the general admission line was out of control. Needing to be at a show multiple hours in advance to only stand outside a mile down the road is crazy. Something needs to be done about it to mitigate the stress. • Upstairs: This seemed like the most popular place, but you couldn’t get up there because of the consistent line at the escalator. If you did get up there, it was hot and crowded. The space wasn’t fully utilized and there were booths, including the main stage, that I thought should have been on the main level. The unused space could be activated for the individuals that want to set up their own sales spot instead of the VIP space, just a thought. Final impression is very high. This event will continue to grow. Our hobby is getting younger and there is truly something for everyone to participate. Thank you for another exciting year and I can’t wait to do it all over again.

I say this every year but I'd love to get more pics with friends at National this year. I forget to do so because I spend time chatting and dont tbink about taking out my phone. Which is great! But I need to record some memories too.
