The owner and operator of BitMEX, HDR Global Trading Limited, has made the difficult decision to close operations following a strategic review of the business.

I almost got drained today. This is how close I came, and the one rule you need to know to stay safe. 👇
The Hook: A DM, a legit-looking project, a great opportunity. Standard Web3 networking.
The Trap: A meeting link. I click it. An error pops up: "Network configuration issue." A standard-looking button says "Fix" and gives me a command to copy-paste into Terminal (or PowerShell).
The Pause: The only reason I still have my crypto is that I paused. My gut said, "This feels off."
What This Is: A "ClickFix" scam. It's sophisticated social engineering, not a technical hack. It works on urgency. You're late, you just want the meeting to start, and you think "it's a simple fix."
The Golden Rule:
🚨 NO LEGITIMATE MEETING PLATFORM (Zoom, Google Meet, Discord, etc.) WILL EVER ASK YOU TO OPEN TERMINAL OR POWERSHELL. NEVER. 🚨
If a link says you need to execute a command to join a call, it's a 100% confirmed scam. Period. Close the tab immediately.
Web3 rewards the bold, but verification is not paranoia—it is professionalism.
