Every time there's a social media post related to open captions, someone w/o hearing loss says they want open captions. If the theater industry wants to survive, and wants to keep avid moviegoers coming, it needs to heed the growing demand for OC! @ercboxoffice

They CAN do it. They just don't want to do it.

Ugh. @RegalMovies in my area won't provide Open Captioning (OC) for movies. I talked to their manager about it. They refused to provide it because they can't do it. Not even let me pick the movie for the future. Typical hearings. 🙄

I just thought of a reason people might not be going to theaters. No subtitles. Poor sound mixing geared supposedly towards theater has led everyone to use subtitles. No one trusts they'll be able to hear while in a theater without being blown out by the music. No one goes.

For those of us with hearing loss, it isn't even a question. For many without hearing loss, it isn't even a question either!
