The Cushing movies are genuinely good and I will hear nothing to the contrary. Yes they toss out a bunch of the Doctor Who lore, but they're cute movies! As an alternate universe story they're fantastic.
Hey @blameitonjorge I don't use Twitter much but I'm tryina' get this thread any traction I can at all. If there's any place for it in one of your future videos, I'd appreciate you giving it a look <3

Did people seriously think that DISNEY of all companies were going to be above this? They don't give a fuck what any of you think. They're literally one of the scummiest companies on the planet.

Generally that's the idea David me old mugger.

Another L take from Gatiss. Why do people keep asking this man questions?
Mark Gatiss:
"They put [Doctor Who] out to tender then [1989], and then it just quietly didn't happen, and I have a feeling maybe that's what's going to happen."
Huh? The tender process took effect with strict rules in the BBC's charter in 2017.

Open on a burning tower block, a shrouded figure fights through the flames freeing people trapped around them. One by one the trapped residents turn up outside, each confused as to how they got there. EMS quizzes them on what happened but they only remember the figure's actions
Suddenly, the unknown person's coffin begins to shake. The edges glow with an eerie light as something begins banging from within. The funeral director goes to open the coffin as a hand breaks through, the crowd screams, some panic as the lid opens.

They should start the next series with a regeneration, have the regenerating actor completely shrouded in mystery. Have them stumble out of the TARDIS, collapse to the floor. Someone sees them and asks if they need help, they snap look up into a beam of regen energy. THEME TUNE.
I think I can finally put into words why the RTD2 era feels so wrong to me. It's that there's a fundamental lack of curiosity.
Lack of curiosity in the direction, the writing, the music, in exploring the worlds they showed, the monsters, the characters.
The whole era is full of cool ideas that seem lame because there is no effort to present them properly. Full of characters that COULD be cool but fall flat because there's no interest in exploring them.
It's all purposefully designed for initial reaction, nothing else.
