+@ReggieMillerTNT I'm not contacting you as a basketball guy, but a cyclist. I too spent some time as a pro athlete, an international high diver. While you finished up at UCLA, I was traveling the world doing somersaults off 80 ft. towers - and training as a cyclist.

My brother, Andy was the director of the University of Michigan Spine Center at the same time I was in the crash. He was (and is) a global expert in spinal cord injury. Since then I've traveled all over the world documenting disability communities.

Replying to @PhilLiggett
@PhilLiggett Hey Phil - we swapped emails 25 years ago when I was trying to publish a book about a high diver who trained as a cyclist and became a paraplegic in a bike wreck. FF those 25 years with many passport stamps and revisions, and I'm now a published author.

@PhilLIggett My memoir, wsupress.wsu.edu/product/glo… was just released. My chapter about the LeMond-Fignon tour didn't make it because my publisher said it wasn't my story.I'm a cycling lifer and have won the Portland Marathon twice.

@PhilLIggett I've traveled the world as a journalist (got my broadcast journalism degree from Washington State U, my publisher, in 2009) covering disability in some of the poorest countries on Earth. Would love if you took a second look at the book.

@lancearmstrong Hey man, I remember you talking about cliff diving in your book. Well I'm an actual cliff diver who used cycling for training. I worked in France and saw you ride often. Now I'm a paraplegic (bike crash) and I've won the Portland Marathon hand cycle twice.

The book release will be delayed til December. I've been advised to actually write shit in the meantime. It's a 10-minute read on the Who show I saw on Thursday. It's a fun read. If you like this you'll dig the book - I really can't write any other way 🤣#GlobalNomad
