Cora’s annual project… sorting and wrapping gifts for displaced children and the women’s refuge! Thanks to the generosity of cashforkids, no asylum seeking or refugee child in the Wakefield district will go without a gift this Christmas @OPALG_4H @OPA_LG

Cora was absolutely incredible in the dance show! 5 dances and all of them wonderful! How she’s still going after 3 days of dance is beyond me! @OPALG_4H @OPA_LG

And it’s here… #refugeeweek begins today! To see how you can get involved, take a look at refugeeweek.org.uk for a full list of events wherever you are or try one of the #simpleacts

It’s quite handy having an 8 year old when you’re trying to create a new presentation about refugees for children! Cora’s input was invaluable, making sure content was age appropriate and I’m now ready for school visits across the district! @OPALG_3H @OPA_LG #computergenius

Time to play catch up! Cora actually really enjoyed doing the long addition and has mastered a new way of adding quickly! She was very proud to get 25/25 @OPALG_3H

How difficult is it to put two suitcases on a plane when they have been checked in? Now on the other side of the world with NOTHING but the clothes on our back Absolutely shameful! Where’s my luggage @Icelandair? Promised they’d be on a flight to Toronto today, NOTHING

Cora has earned her first theme award, 3 year #girlguiding anniversary badge, zero waste and local history badges! A great achievement! @OPA_LG @OPALG_3H

She didn’t just pass, she went and got a distinction! She’s very proud of herself! @OPALG_3H @OPA_LG

It’s that time of year again! Cora is hard at work helping me wrap lots of amazing toy donations for Asylum seeking children, those who wouldn’t have anything to open Christmas Day were it not for the generosity of colleagues @OPALG_3H @OPA_LG

It’s dance exam today! Good luck Cora @OPALG_3H

She’s worked very hard to earn her dance awards! She’s very proud of herself! @OPA_LG

And that’s Brownies done till September! The girls raised over £100 for Outwood Church… very proud of them! Lots of fabulous Brownies at @OPA_LG

Amongst the tears was the half giggling tale of the owed chocolate bar! Nicely done @LittlerMoore

Cora is helping me sort out some of the donations from local schools to ensure that no child goes to school feeling out of place, especially those with NRPF! She’s doing a fabulous job! If anyone has any to donate, please get in touch @OPA_LG @OPALG_2C2223

It’s dance exam day!!! @OPA_LG @OPALG_2C2223
