• Being wrong is not a bad thing.
• It's Okay to question what you have been taught.
• Grades aren't as valuable as skills.
• Understanding is more important than memorization.
• Making mistakes is Okay. Learn from your mistakes.

The book and Marty's talks are a clarion call for MDs to reclaim their profession. Sadly, for understandable/historic reasons, they gave away their profession in a way lawyers, engineers, accountants didn't and the effects have been brutal on docs and patients alike.
