In Saitama Prefecture, Japan, a Turkish national of Kurdish origin named Hasgul Abbas was living on “provisional release” while his refugee application was pending. He was also unemployed.
He first r@ped a 14-year-old Japanese girl in the parking lot of a convenience store in Kawaguchi City.
For this, the court sentenced him to 1 year in prison, but the sentence was suspended for 3 years. Therefore, he did not have to go to prison immediately.
However, just 3 months after his first sentence was suspended, he r@ped another 12-year-old Japanese girl in Kawaguchi City.
After the incident, the girl was so frightened that she told the court she could no longer sleep at night because of fear.
The Saitama District Court then sentenced Abbas to 8 years in prison in the second case.
This Kurdish man took the childhood away from two innocent girls, yet the punishment he received was far too lenient.
