2/ In my experience kids are not homophobic. In fact, they are naturally inquisitive, kind, & understanding. It’s the adults that teach kids homophobia & hate. It starts when adults in hush tones imply something is wrong & shameful. It starts with a bill like “Don’t Say Gay”

Elizabeth Bartholet, in conclusion:
My hope is that today is a turning point on homeschooling, a moment of significant reform for homeschooling, which could bring about a greater acknowledgement of the rights and value of children.

#MakeHomeschoolSafe: A Primer
Why must we make homeschooling safe? Due to intentional, massive deregulation, homeschooling has (1) provided legal cover for abusive parents and (2) become a conduit for radicalization and violence by embracing Christian Nationalism.
