College is for education. The NCAA should require international players to have enough remaining eligibility to realistically earn a degree. Otherwise, we’re not talking about college athletics anymore. We’re talking about professional basketball being played on college campuses.
A friend of mine signed 6 international pro players and 2 high school seniors. The NCAA has created or allowed an unbalanced system that is very unhealthy for the sport I love.
SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey filed an affidavit opposing former St. John’s star RJ Luis Jr. playing for LSU. American pros can’t play in college but European pros can. Can someone explain that to me!
How does this make sense? The NCAA allows pro players from Europe with 1 year of eligibility, to play college basketball, taking scholarship opportunities away from American high school prospects. Is this really what college basketball is supposed to be?
When I was growing up in New York my parents didn’t allow four-letter words. If you cursed, they’d wash your mouth out with soap. Today, vulgar language seems to be everywhere.

I think the NBA should do 2 things to keep players from flopping: a) a huge fine for the owner b) a suspension without pay for the player. Officiating is hard enough without the players flopping. Fans deserve better.

What is the NCAA doing about D1 schools signing so many pro players from Europe? Our Universities are signing Pros from Europe and not our American high school athletes. Something is wrong with this picture.
