Today we released XKOVA Policy Lens, an AI-powered research tool for exploring regulatory questions around credit unions, CUSOs, stablecoins, and tokenization.
We've tuned the underlying LLM technology specifically for this space, grounding its responses in official public government documents from the CFPB, CFTC, Congress, FDIC, Federal Reserve, FinCEN, NCUA, OCC, OFAC, SEC, Treasury, and regulators across all 50 states, along with public XKOVA documentation.
The underlying document library is refreshed weekly to keep up with the latest regulatory developments and guidance.
The goal is simple: make it easier to find, understand, and navigate complex regulatory information without having to dig through hundreds of documents.
It's still in beta, so we'd love for folks in the industry to give it a try and share feedback on what's working, what's missing, and what we can improve.

This update from CRS shows folks in DC are thinking about how credit unions integrate stablecoins and blockchain technology.
- CRS, Congress’s research team, released a September 30 report looking at expanded digital-asset authority for CUs. One opportunity is bringing custody into the credit union’s own services.
- Today, federal CUs keep custody outside the CU. The member controls their own wallet, or a third-party provider holds the stablecoins. Some state-chartered CUs already have custody authority.
- The Senate CLARITY proposal would expressly authorize federal CUs to provide custody themselves. Put simply, the CU could safeguard members’ stablecoins and manage access on their behalf.
- Think of a member receiving $2,000 in stablecoins, seeing the balance in their CU app and sending $500. The CU could handle safekeeping and payments, with technology providers working behind the scenes. That’s one possible member experience under the proposal.
The opportunity is moving from connecting members to a service to operating more of that service directly.
Putting that authority into law could also give CUs a more stable basis for investing in the technology, staff and integrations needed to offer it. ✅
🇺🇸 BREAKING: The Congressional Research Service released a new report today examining how far U.S. banks should be permitted to go with crypto and blockchain.
The report says the House-passed CLARITY Act would allow banks to use digital assets or blockchain for any activity otherwise permitted by law.
The Senate-reported version goes further, adding 11 categories of permissible crypto activities for banks and credit unions.
The policy debate is moving from whether banks can engage with crypto to how broadly they can use digital asset infrastructure.
