EVs in the UK are "running out of juice"...except they're not..and never were.
Again and again, critics have doubted EVs, yet the market simply keeps on growing.

Good morning with good news: US reaches two historic solar milestones.
1. US crosses 100 GW solar module production milestone! 70% of this factory capacity was added after IRA. pv-magazine-usa.com/2026/09/…
2. US total installed solar nears 300 GW!

Energy abundance means building as much new energy as quickly as possible.
Solar & storage are unmatched in that department ⬇️

A clean, electrified energy system has been a dream for decades. Thirty years ago the core components existed, but they weren't economical.
That has changed. Chips, batteries, power electronics, motors and sensors have each fallen over 97% in price.
It's best to recognise a shift early. Second best is to act on it when it's staring us in the face.

Gas & coal plant outages in Texas are up 40% in the last 48 hours. Solar carried the day & batteries just set a new record at sunset. Gas plants are important energy resources but they struggle in extreme heat & cold. Better to have a diverse resource mix, as Texas does. 1/

The draft permit for emissions from the “rescoping” of work at Cliffs’ Middletown Works in Ohio will raise pollution in the area to levels higher than those for almost all times in the last five years. @canarymediainc canarymedia.com/articles/gre…

Cleveland-Cliffs won a $500M grant for a green-steel push at its Middletown Works. "Rescoping" the work under Trump's Dept. of Energy will instead perpetuate coal use and will boost local pollution, a draft air permit shows.

California just became the first major grid system on the planet to generate more than 50% of its electricity from solar across an entire month.
Battery costs are falling rapidly, and utility-scale solar is among the cheapest sources of new power in the US.
Solar is the future.

You could watch the news 24/7 & not know that:
Our planet’s at its hottest in 120,000 years.
Methane levels are their highest in MILLIONS of years.
CO2 levels their highest in 3 MILLION years.
We're in a climate crisis. Denying it won't solve the problem.

Today was the 4th time >10 gigawatts of batteries were deployed in Texas & the 2nd time in the last week!
Batteries were discharged at that level even though prices were >99% below the price cap. Huge wholesale cost reductions from batteries in ERCOT.

ERCOT projects an all-time July peak demand record today >83 gigawatts. There's over 30 GW of spare capacity *at peak* thanks to Texas' diverse fuel mix incl. 40 GW of solar. Right now, 60% of the generation in Texas is from solar & wind and 9GW worth of batteries are charging.

RENEWABLES: They're still wildly popular with the British public, not that you'd realise from news coverage
* Only 4% are opposed
Even for wind/solar farms in your local area, opposition is very low
* 74/68% would either be happy to have a local solar/wind farm, or don't care
