Rescued — Pt. 2 of “Cover Blown” #Shink #Zelink #OOT Ganondorf’s men weren’t the only ones looking for Sheik. Link had been on his trail for some time too. He spotted some suspicious figures heading towards what he believed to be the young Sheikah’s hideout and followed. When he finally managed to get inside, he found a woman with long golden hair, injured, bound and in tears, screaming fiercely at them to get their hands off her. Link slew the attackers with inhuman speed and fury. The clash of blades reverberated off the rocky walls of the cave, screams tore through the air, and everything was stained red. When he reached the woman, pale and trembling, he immediately noticed the lower half of her garments, the bandages wrapped tightly around her breasts and, above all, her crimson eyes. His suspicion was confirmed: it was Sheik. He cut her free, but she was too shaken to stand, so he lifted her into his arms. So… do we want a Part 3?

Wounds — Pt. 3 of “Cover Blown” #Shink #Zelink #OOT It was neither Sheik’s true identity nor the forbidden artefact she wore around her neck that truly shook Link. That amulet, capable of suffocating Zelda’s sacred power, had turned her eyes crimson, though they had once been as green as emeralds. And yet it was not their colour that made her gaze so different from the one he remembered from childhood: the innocence and joy that had once shone in them had vanished. Her light had dimmed over those seven years, eroded by sorrow. He had to get her somewhere safe. Away from everything. --- A small lore note: in my own universe and reinterpretations, I’m building a consistent mythology that connects several games. In this version, Zelda is a Sacred Princess, bound to Hylia, possessing the powers of both light and time. (Posted before the remake’s release, so I have no idea whether they’ll change anything about the lore!) So… Part 4?
