Alberta has been a national leader in ensuring allied health professionals can practice to their fullest scope.
We have previously done this with pharmacists, midwives and nurse practitioners.
Next up are optometrists, after ensuring they have the education and training required, they will be able to provide additional services to Albertans.
I look forward to finalizing this work with the Alberta College of Optometrists!
