Uncontrolled pain is the reason my BP is out of control. I'm now taking 5 meds for BP while tapering off opioids. Been in the ER twice recently, last time it was 250/117. I'm far more concerned about the BP meds than any risk from opioids.

I had to get clearance from my cardiologist for spine surgeries because every time a Dr/PCP runs an EKG, they want to send me to the hospital. I did all the fancy heart tests. Guess what… my heart is reacting normally to pain, but please let me suffer until my heart is damaged.

Having 10mg x3/day back would be great. Instead a mo after lumbar I was force tapered to 7.5mg x 2/day. I asked to stay on 30… nope. I got the to agree to 5mg x 3/day but they see it as problematic… it should only be x2/day. I asked for 2 x 10mg/day. Nope. It’s seems it’s SCS or discharge now. I’d say 30mme is reasonable compared to the 460 I was on for 17+ years.
