It's striking that London where I've been for the last few days feels like India. It's overrun by low skilled Indians which leads me to believe the West is helping to solve India's massive youth unemployment problem.
At my hotel, everyone on staff were newly arrived from India. Their English was often poor and the service wasn't great. The staff were shouting back and forth to each other in Hindi like you would in a chawl in India. A chawl is low cost housing and densely populated.
All of this is coming to Canada. Can’t wait. 🤡

On Thursday October 8, 2026, at approximately 10:00pm, the Peterborough County OPP responded to a traffic hazard on Highway 7 just north of Sherbrooke Street in Cavan-Monaghan Township, where a transport truck attempted to conduct a U-turn. The transport was operating with a ‘b-train’ trailer and while attempting to turn around, stretched their airline to the point of breaking causing the airbrakes to lock. The disabled transport blocked traffic in both directions until it was able to be removed. The driver was charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

Le jeudi 8 octobre 2026, vers 22 h, la Police provinciale de l’Ontario (Police provinciale) du comté de Peterborough est intervenue suite à un danger à la circulation sur l’autoroute 7, juste au nord de la rue Sherbrooke, dans le canton de Cavan-Monaghan, où un camion de transport tentait d’effectuer un demi-tour. Le camion, équipé d’une remorque de type « b-train », a, lors de sa manœuvre de demi-tour, tendu sa conduite d’air au point de la rompre, ce qui a provoqué le blocage des freins à air. Le camion immobilisé a bloqué la circulation dans les deux sens jusqu’à ce qu’il puisse être retiré. Le conducteur a fait l’objet d’une accusation de conduite imprudente en vertu du Code de la route.
