Everyone should be able to access the support they need, when they need it. A new review highlights the need for earlier support and access to services and resources for people with ADHD, autism, or mental health conditions.

Disabled people are a community who care, but recently MPs and the media have tried to divide us based on our diagnoses. Please share your experiences to help push back, explaining why all people should be equally respected, whatever impairments and conditions we live with.
Benefits and Work want to hear from people with ADHD, autism, anxiety or depression, and their carers, about the extra costs you face. Your contribution will help to build a case for protecting cash benefits for people with these conditions. buff.ly/dxqNZrs

Great to see @InclusionLondon launch Disability Media Action. Research shows that Disabled people are rarely included in news stories about us. The media has a powerful role in shaping public attitudes and policy. Let's challenge harmful narratives and create lasting change!
Disablism in the media feeds hostility and hate crime against Disabled people. It's got to stop. This National Hate Crime Awareness Week, we're launching Disability Media Action. #NationalHCAW

Social care should work for everyone who needs it. While plans for a National Care Service have been welcomed, working-age Disabled people have been excluded from the initial proposals. We need a social care system that supports all Disabled people.

I could not agree more strongly with this view. Take the same approach as you would with people affected by other issues, i.e. speak to those directly affected by the issue at hand. You will discover a level of expertise on policy and practices and valuable lived experiences.
If there's a news story about Disabled people, surely Disabled people should be part of it? But research into the press shows that it's rarely the case It's so easy to put this right - if you're writing about Disabled people - talk to one! 🔗 buff.ly/TurUfN1
