I am completely shocked how many people don’t realize that cash back credit cards are about the best thing you can do to save money every single day. - Get a credit card with at LEAST 2% cash back offered, preferably more - Use this card for literally everything you buy - Treat your credit card like a debit card; don’t spend anything if you don’t have the cash balance to cover it - Every Friday, pay off the entire balance, not leaving a cent unpaid - Withdraw all of your rewards to your bank or your brokerage and invest Everything you buy is now at least 2% off. You will never owe the bank any interest because you are always paying off your entire card before interest accrues. Do not worry about the morality of credit cards overall, or the interest other people pay, or where those rewards come from. That is not your job. Get a good cash back credit card, use it the same way you use a debit card, collect the rewards, and spend as you previously did. Print bands every year. Invest it all.
You use a debit card at 31 years old

It's remarkable how many people have zero ambition whatsoever. None of them want to improve their position in life.

This sounds like a dystopian nightmare. I do not want to live off of handouts from my Big Tech overlords. The fact that anyone sees this as some heavenly vision of the future is extremely depressing. Some people (most?) just simply do not want freedom or autonomy. They do not have ambition of any kind. For ambitious, independent minded people, this fact is very hard to absorb.
2 years from now you will not work you and will not worry about money you will get your cash payments from from all the major AI labs think of it like 3-5 companies giving you a thousand dollar check every week

Whenever I see a post on Facebook about an infant dying it makes me sad. This kid should have lived to see humans mining asteroids, humans back on the moon and building bases on Mars, and lived to see the end of this century. What a shame.

You have to find whatever small joys you can in the darkest timeline. I have decided to do so by savoring the fact that Palestinian flag has become the global, universal symbol for barbarism and nihilism, proudly waved by every faction that just wants to see the world burn.
A picture worth a thousand words.

Looks like something you'd see in Jason and the Argonauts
Wikipedia just dropped the hardest image for the "skeleton" page

One of the little details I love about this set is that it starts with the earliest Turner package cartoon (Smile, Darn Ya, Smile!) and ends with the latest Turner package cartoon (Haredevil Hare).

You're blackpilling? You can get the complete series of Courage the Cowardly Dog on DVD for less than $20 and you're blackpilling?

life is fucking beautiful, bro. stop letting the internet convince you that everything is doomed. go outside. take care of yourself. smile at strangers. tell people you appreciate them. build something you’re proud of. take risks. fall in love with the process. you have no idea how many incredible things can happen when you stop expecting the worst and start actually living. you get one shot at this shit. make it count.
people born in 1990-2005, how’s life?

I am so happy "Droopy's Good Deed" is coming out restored on Blu-ray as it has some of the sharpest timing in any Droopy cartoon. (Animated by Walt Clinton and Mike Lah)

Just as a general rule I think if your criticism of something is worded in the format of ‘this fucking sucks and you’re an idiot for liking it’ then you can’t really get mad when people get annoyed by your choice of wording

Maybe it's the youngin in me, but how the hell did anyone watch these cartoons before they were properly restored? The 1977 Magnetic Video transfers didn't look this bad.

No, we don't. Respect is earned, not demanded. Go cry in the tub if you don't like it, as reality is not dependent upon your comfort level with it.
Replying to @ripgarythegoat
I disagree. I think people owe me basic human respect. You're a goat so you don't get that, but I'd give you basic goat respect (at least until you proved you don't deserve it, which you already have).

I kinda miss Pre Covid life, we where spoiled with 24 hour stores, $1 Mcchicken, prime shipping was a great value, people weren’t such jerks when they disagreed, even USPS worked like it should.

Why the fuck am I paying for someone on welfare to go visit the zoo for free when it costs me $100 to do the same? Go get a job like the rest of us and pay for your own damn ticket.
Saw some lady write an essay about how much she hates the poor on EBT because they get cheap zoo admission and her “middle class” family has to pay $100, which just shows how brainwashed people are in this country because if $100 is a meaningful spend you’re not middle class
