Saw this last week. Comprehensive documentary on the richest and one of the most powerful people in the world. You should know a little more about him than you do.
Knowledge is power. 💫 In MUSK, Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney delivers a jaw-dropping, informative, and yet endlessly entertaining "examination of the world's richest megalomaniac" (@IndieWire). Now playing in NY and LA. Nationwide Friday! #MuskMovie

Dana Bash still has this absolute lie on her timeline. Israel's own civic agency has said there were no decapitations of babies or toddlers or anyone. CNN is cited 14 times in @FranceskAlbs new report on media complicity and Israel's genocide.

The Israeli government now confirms that babies and toddlers were found decapitated in a small Israeli community near the Gaza strip. @Hadas_Gold reports on the incomprehensible brutality of this attack.

Alex Gibney: “There was an estimate that what [Elon Musk] did by suddenly cutting USAID would cost through disease and starvation as many as 14M lives. Even if you discount that, we know within a year of those cuts where they were literally burning food going to starving children, 500K children died. This is really a crime against humanity, but he makes a joke about it, I put USAID into the woodchipper. What he put into the woodchipper were children”

I'm seeing a LOT of accounts from Alberta spreading misinformation and recycling old articles about BC's drug crisis.
Let's get something straight. BC has extensive recovery and treatment services, too.
Meanwhile, Calgary firefighters have reported a 143% increase in overdose calls compared with the same period last year.
Maybe instead of lecturing BC, you should be asking what's happening in your own backyard.
The drug crisis doesn't stop at provincial borders. Neither should the facts.

This scandal was uncovered thanks to the University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab.
Tusk says Israeli firm NSO allowed Polish Pegasus users to spy on French, Germans and Poles, but not Russians, Belarusians, or North Koreans, and NSO delivered Poles’ private data to the Israeli govt.
NEW: 🇵🇱 Poland’s National Prosecutor’s Office has found that the Pegasus spyware system used by the country’s previous government was not fully under the control of Polish security agencies, potentially allowing its Israeli manufacturer, NSO Group, to access sensitive data collected from Polish citizens.
According to prosecutors, an analysis by Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) found that NSO Group could access infrastructure used to process and store operational data. Information transmitted through the system was also leaving Polish territory.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk called the findings a crime against the state and described the affair as one of the biggest scandals in Poland’s history since the fall of communism.
Tusk warned that sensitive information belonging to thousands, potentially tens of thousands, of Polish citizens could have been exposed to a foreign country without adequate control. He also claimed there was no doubt that Pegasus manufacturer NSO Group cooperated with Israeli security services.
Pegasus is a powerful surveillance tool capable of accessing mobile phones and extracting messages, browsing history and location data. Depending on the capabilities deployed, it can also access microphones and cameras.
The spyware was purchased under the previous Law and Justice (PiS) government, which has faced allegations that it was used to monitor political opponents, journalists and other public figures. The former administration denies wrongdoing, arguing that Pegasus was necessary for national security and used with court approval.
Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek said the system’s use endangered Poland’s national security. A parliamentary inquiry has also heard that judges who authorised surveillance were not fully informed about Pegasus’s capabilities.

Alex Gibney: “Most people think Elon Musk is the founder of Tesla and also the prime inventor of the technology at Tesla and that just isn’t true. He was an investor, not an inventor. The real inventor was a man named Martin Eberhard. They had a falling out and Musk engineered Martin Eberhard’s departure. Eberhard sued for money he thought he was owed and Musk only agreed to settle the lawsuit if Eberhard agreed to say that Musk was what he wasn’t which was the founder of Tesla”

There are several flaws in this @NYT piece about Jeffrey Epstein's death. The biggest, however, is the reporters ignore the fact that someone else didn't need to get into that unit to kill him. The unit was filled with inmates capable of harming him -- and they were coming and going all day and even into the night. Epstein had a number on his back from the day he got there. The cameras weren't recording. It's simple to just leave a door unlocked and pay someone already on the inside to kill him. It remains frustrating that the Times fails to adequately address (with its enormous resources that I don't have) -- the massive corruption and fabricated reports in that facility that happened that night. The Times would have you believe that it was just accidental that he was left alone in his cell, and that killing him would have required a massive number of people. That simply is not true. youtu.be/uTsI2OTeSxk?si=HWMW… via @YouTube

If you are shocked this am that Trump’s government executed a search warrant against a Democratic Member of Congress and ignored a judge’s order then you haven’t been paying attention.
Stop saying this isn’t how it works in the US. It is exactly how it works under Trump.
Trump has engaged in more brazen criminality and corruption than any president ever, and is now sending immigration investigators after his political enemies

.@alexgibneyfilm’s epic new documentary, Musk, charts the rise of the world’s richest man. Elon Musk has criticized the film, and Gibney tells me “I’d be a fool not to” feel the pressure. But, he adds, “I find it… ironic that the man who fashions himself a free speech absolutist would threaten to sue over a film that he hasn’t even seen.”
