STATUS UPDATE ON TEP/LINDA MWANANCHI MOVEMENT NAME CHANGE
To our Members, Supporters and Followers, please note that following the Lapse of the statutory period communicated in the Kenya Gazette Notice No. 16427 dated 16.10.26 on 23.10.26, all the objections raised against the TEP/LMM name change will be responded to soon by TEP and in doing so, TEP will provide justifiable reasons supported by the relevant/applicable clauses in TEP Constitution as regards any/all the steps it undertook.
Thereafter, TEP will communicate to ORPP how it dealt with any/all the objections, including but not limited to convening the 13.11.26 NDC supported by cogent evidence thereof.
With the Sufficient explanation/Justification from TEP, ORPP will consequently effect the NAME CHANGE, then NOTIFY TEP and finally issue a new certificate of Registration in the name of Linda Mwananchi Movement marking the end of the process.
We therefore assure our members, supporters, and followers that as the TEP/LMM Legal team, we continue to undertake these processes meticulously, painstakingly and with legal precision that they deserve.
We will continue to update you from time to time on each of the developments as they unfold.

My political take on Nairobi Governorship come 2027.
If Gakuya and Babu Owino both enter the gubernatorial race, Babu will have a serious battle ahead. Gakuya could attract a substantial share of the Mt. Kenya vote, while Babu would need to consolidate his support among the Luo community and win over voters from other communities, including the Luhya and Gen Z vote.
Sakaja also has his own support base to defend. If all three end up on the ballot, the contest becomes even more complicated, especially for Babu, who could find himself competing for some of the same voters as Sakaja.
That is why I believe Babu should think carefully about his next move. Perhaps the Nairobi Senate seat deserves serious consideration. There is no shame in reassessing your strategy when the numbers suggest that another route could offer a better chance of victory.
Politics is not just about popularity, ambition or the crowds you attract. It is about numbers, alliances, timing and knowing where your votes will come from.
Babu is a formidable politician, but being popular does not automatically translate into winning a gubernatorial election. He must look beyond his strongholds and honestly assess the voters he can win over.
The ballot does not reward ambition alone, it rewards strategy.

At the 2nd EAC Malaria Stakeholders’ Meeting, Dr. Anat Florentin, Assistant Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, highlighted the importance of understanding the malaria parasite at the molecular level to unlock new possibilities for prevention and treatment.
She emphasized the need to rethink conventional approaches, recognizing that existing interventions have not always achieved the desired outcomes. Accelerating progress requires sustained investment in research, innovative thinking, and the exploration of new pathways for developing effective drugs, vaccines, and other therapeutic interventions.
Malaria remains a complex public health challenge that demands more than existing solutions. Advancing toward elimination will depend on scientific breakthroughs, cross-sector collaboration, and the ability to translate research findings into practical interventions that save lives.
