California's Move Over Law requires drivers to change lanes or slow down when approaching stationary emergency vehicles, tow trucks, or road maintenance vehicles with flashing lights. In 2026 this law was expanded to include any stalled vehicle on the side of the road.

UPDATE: Due to a rockslide, Highway 41 remains closed in both directions between the junction of Hwy. 46 and the junction of Hwy. 33. There is no current estimate for reopening. A detour is available via State Routes 33 and 46.
