Today we have Callan Waldron-Hall with 'dance dance revolution' an immersive poem of road trips and coming of age. Read more of this warm poem here or click the link in our bio: inksweatandtears.co.uk/calla… #Poem #FeaturedWork #Prose #Preview #poetry #OnlineZine #CreativeWriting
An image of an open road with a sunny blue and with light up dynamic clouds. Overlaying this image is a translucent search engine text box at the bottom is an illustration of a convertible car with two people sat in the front seats. One person with a hat has their hands waving up in the air. In the text box is an excerpt of today's poem which follows: dance dance revolution → we ← were young enough to fall when → we ← ran → too quickly ↑ our bodies eager to move us on ↓ didn’t ← I → say it was much harder than it looked → ↑ you ↓ tried dancing with just one leg ↑ the other → Callan Waldron-Hall©

#ThePoetryReview poet Callan Waldron-Hall (@callanwh) shares a #WritingHabit for the new year! Share your #WritingTips and #WritingGoals for 2023 with us in the replies.
Try to be actively thinking of the themes you want to explore. It might be you’ve a particular image or moment you love but have yet to write it into a poem. I often try to ask myself, how could this sit among my other poems? Should it – or does it – belong with them? Callan Waldron-Hall
