Three-year-old Zain Abu Ismail is suffering from a complex and critical medical condition due to a congenital intestinal obstruction and the absence of nerves in the colon, which left him unable to pass stool through the anus and forced doctors to perform a stoma opening in his abdomen to rely on for excretion.
