Ukrainian soldiers and people associated with the military are reporting restrictions on Starlink service. Likely on the direct orders of Elon Musk. Despite the fact that Ukraine pays him for these services.
How this will help Russia, which is currently losing occupied Ukrainian territories, is for the military to comment on. I will speak to the impact on the civilian population.
Starlink is also used by the interceptors that protect Ukrainian cities from Russian jet-powered Shaheds. Without that protection, Russian drones will strike residential buildings, hospitals, and schools like targets in a shooting gallery.
Let me be blunt: the blood of Ukrainian children will be on the hands of the owner and the entire team of this American company.

Residents of destroyed Donbas cities who sided with Russia and obtained Russian passports have appealed to Putin. They state that they have received no compensation and are now simply being thrown out onto the street.
Until now, they had been living in a temporary accommodation center in Russia, but they are now being evicted. They have nowhere to go, as Russia destroyed their hometowns.
This is what the "liberation" of Donbas that Putin speaks of actually looks like. In reality, Putin does not care about these people. The Russian army arrived, destroyed everything they owned, and left them homeless. Now, they are being evicted even from the dormitory where they had been staying. They are receiving no payment for their destroyed property.

Axios: Trump made a diesel fuel deal with Russia after President Zelensky ignored half a dozen U.S. requests to stop attacking Russian oil refineries, a U.S. official said.
“Zelensky is misreading the room. By continuing to hit refineries, he is eroding the good will that he has built with Trump over the last six months,” the official said.
Zelensky offered to stop the strikes if Russia halted attacks on Ukrainian power plants. But Trump wanted Ukraine to stop unilaterally, blaming the strikes for high U.S. gas prices and arguing they weren’t equivalent to Russian attacks on Ukraine’s power grid.

Yesterday, bikers came to say goodbye to 14-year-old Illia Honcharov, who was killed by a Russian missile strike on his home in Vyshhorod, Kyiv region, on September 30.
Illia loved motorcycles. His family asked bikers to join the farewell ceremony. Many answered the call.
"Our boy, Illiusha, loved motorcycles very much. He simply lived for them. He started with a moped, then had a Viper and a Shineray. He took great care of each of his motorcycles, looked after them, cherished them, and constantly dreamed of owning a Kawasaki. We want to say goodbye to Illiusha in a way that would have been close to his heart. We ask everyone who has a motorcycle and is able to come to join us in saying farewell."
The Honcharov family had moved to Kyiv region from Sumy region, fleeing constant Russian attacks. But Russia destroyed their home in Kyiv region with a missile. Illia’s parents, Pavlo and Olena, and his sister, Liza, survived. Illia was trapped under the rubble and suffered fatal injuries.
This is beyond heartbreaking...
My deepest condolences to Illia’s family...
Russia took away Illia’s childhood, his dreams, and his future.
Children must live and enjoy life - not be killed by Russia’s war.
Up until last night, that was a family home.
The family who lived there, moved to Kyiv region from Sumy region, fleeing from Russian attacks.
Last night, Russia killed a 14-year-old boy and injured his parents. His sister wasn't harmed, thankfully.
Deepest condolences...
Five people injured and two killed by this Russian attack on Kyiv last night.

This is the unfinished homework of 14-year-old Daniel Umansky.
On the morning of September 25, Daniel was sitting in his room in Kyiv, doing his homework.
He was writing about Volodymyr Monomakh, a ruler of Kyivan Rus, and his moral teachings written almost nine centuries ago. The assignment asked Daniel to think about how those principles might be understood today.
He wrote about respecting others, protecting the vulnerable, helping orphans, and other basic human principles.
Daniel never finished his home assignment.
At around 8 a.m., a Russian het drone struck his apartment building in the center of Kyiv.
Daniel was killed in his room. Among the wreckage of the family’s apartment, his school notebook remained open.
There is a terrible symbolism in what Daniel was writing at the moment his life was taken. A 14-year-old boy was trying to put into modern words a centuries-old principle: the strong must not be allowed to destroy the weak.
He never finished that thought. A Russian drone reached his room first. You can see the drops of blood on his school notebook.
Today, Daniel was laid to rest in Israel, where his grandparents live.
In September 2026 alone, there were 235 air alerts in Kyiv. Schools, hospitals, universities, infrastructure, and residential buildings were under deliberate Russian attacks. Hundreds of civilians were injured. Around thirty were killed. Danya was one of them. There should be responsibility. There should be just peace.
His mother was wounded in the same attack, and the family’s home was damaged.
