Higgs’ athletic profile is just the beginning, her leadership, connection to teammates, and communication can be more impressive than her stat sheet. A true student athlete.

Being a K-12 public school teacher is one of the most misunderstood jobs in the US. I did it for 18 years (and coached many of those years). It is incredibly physically, intellectually, and emotionally demanding. Your clothes wear out ... it is hard real-world work

PLAYERS: If you don't work hard in practice, you may not ever get the chance to play hard in a game.

Chris Sale said the following earlier this week: “My job is not what, why, when, how, whatever. Like, I'm literally a robot.
You hand me the ball, and I’ll go throw until you say I'm done” Here comes the robot #Braves

For you guys not following this situation The Dodgers negotiated an unfair TV contract deal, then their owner got his insurance and annuity companies to give loans to him so he could afford massive spending. He did things like buy Chelsea, the Lakers and spend massively on the Dodgers by doing illegal loans and arms length transactions that aren’t allowed with insurance rules He has to sell EVERYTHING he can to cover the loans or he could face criminal prosecution. There will be a liquidation, selling the Lakers and his stake in Chelsea will not be enough The Dodgers “dynasty” is built on financial cheating, enabled by a 1 of 1 TV Deal they got through a loophole in the McCourt Bankruptcy and improper transactions with life insurance and annuity companies Guggenheim owns We do not need a salary cap Mark walter WILL have to sell the Dodgers and once the TV rights situation is fixed they will never be able to spend like this again The Dodgers rings mean even less than the Astros

My favorite part of the evaluation is what makes Higgs a great teammate and prospect, high IQ that makes decisions that benefit her teammates! That part couldn’t be more true and it’s an intangible skill that makes her the player she is! Keep working, big things to come

Thank you, @earlaustinjr (@PGHMissouri), for such an incredible write-up in “Some Excellent Connectors That We Watched During the Summer”. I am truly humbled and grateful for your kind words and the recognition. Thank you for all you do to support and showcase girls basketball in Missouri. 🏀❤️ @MissouriPhenom @LinnWBB

Weightroom or bust. Caloric intake or bust. The track or bust. A lot of players need to be told the truth. Either get stronger and more physical or your baseball career beyond high school is unattainable.

The Varsity squad wrapped up the Show-Me Shootout League with a 7-1 record. The team took only two losses all summer, and the hard work continues to pay off. Keep showing up for each other, competing every day, and putting in the work.
