CSSC

A core tenet of #sustainability and #climate work is #racialjustice. Higher education is a privilege. It is the role of students to leverage this privilege to dismantle the systems of oppression and inequality not only in our institutions, but also our communities.

#California Sustainability Coalition & the CA Higher Education #Sustainability Conference @CHESC with the support of the Linesch Family Foundation are pleased to announce the 2020 Nico Linesch Boundary Crossing Scholar’s Award for #graduatestudents! Apply: sustainabilitycoalition.org/…

Cal State Student Association @csustudents—which represents the CSU student body—voted on a resolution calling for a #GreenNewDeal! We thank Humboldt State for helping us introduce it! Acknowledge all who contributed to the effort & hope this win inspires conversations elsewhere!

Tomorrow, we're joining #students around the world who are striking from school demand lawmakers take legislative action to combat the #climatecrisis. Find a March 15 #YouthClimateStrike near you & and text CLIMATE to 383-83 to contact your lawmaker: bit.ly/2TAIpTZ

As a student-led organization pressuring decision-makers to act on the urgency of the #climatecrisis, we have been profoundly moved by the #GreenNewDeal movement.

The deadline to apply for our Boundary Crossing Scholar’s Award has been extended! The award will provide a $4,000 stipend for #graduatestudents who design #interdisciplinary internships in agencies whose budgets limit their capacity to offer compensation. bit.ly/2AqAZHW

We recently kicked off our new campaign for 100% #renewableenergy on #California college campuses at Spark 2018, a 2-day conference at #SFSU. We're excited to move this campaign forward in the new year, so keep an eye out on new opportunities to participate in this mass effort!

A #graduatestudent with #interdisciplinary interests & careers goals? We strongly encourage you to apply for our annual Nico Linesch Boundary Crossing Scholar’s Award! This $4,000 award is named in honor of one of CSSC's earliest leaders who died in 2017: bit.ly/2AqAZHW
