A programming language that makes it easy to build provable programs

Cairo is the computation (program + execution trace). S-two proves that execution ran correctly.
1/ The S-two whitepaper is out. A 2nd-generation proof system for Starknet, built as a circle STARK over M31 for exceptionally efficient arithmetic. It provides a formal description of S-two together with a soundness and security analysis of the proof system 👇

A Cairo anonymizer can route STRK20 funds through a DeFi app and credit the output to an open note in one atomic transaction. The owner stays hidden while the output amount is public. strk20-by-example.org/helper…

You can connect a STRK20 dapp to a Cairo anonymizer through the Wallet API, leaving private state and proofs with a supporting wallet. Wallet builders can use the Privacy SDK to manage those pieces directly. strk20.starknet.io/build

use cairo to build greatness
Same markets as @Polymarket. Same odds. Same liquidity. The difference: your positions, your size and your trading history are not publicly linked to your account.

Should Starknet become an independent L1? It's time for the community to have its say. STRK stakers and delegaters can now participate in the first, non-binding governance vote on this potential transition 👇 governance.starknet.io/#/s:s…

Starknet v0.14.3 moved its Cairo OS program and configuration hashes to a BLAKE2s-based construction. Trie and contract-address changes remain on the migration roadmap. quantum.starkware.co/migrati…

100% agree with @lordOfAFew My take is: 1. It's already consensus that ZK-STARKs are the endgame for blockchain 2. Cairo is optimized for ZK-STARKs 3. The more people rely on AI for coding, the more we'll shift from choosing a programming language because we know it to choosing one because it's best suited for what we're building. Build with Cairo.
One of the biggest barriers to @Starknet adoption was the difficulty of Cairo. The latest models like Opus 5.5 entirely crush it. And for those that don’t know, Cairo is an absolute monster for the most complex of smart contracts. Larger contract size, greater provable compute. Go nuts. Literally go nuts. Build the most complex distributed system you can think of!

1/ Every app should have a private mode. So we shipped it 🥷 Introducing Shadow Accounts, now live on Starknet. A new STRK20 privacy primitive that lets apps offer a Public → Private switch, without publicly linking users' activity to their main wallets 🧵

In Cairo, your Starknet account contract defines its own signature checks. A new implementation can use a post-quantum verifier, with wallet signing and key management needing support for the same scheme. quantum.starkware.co/archite…

Europol explicitly cites StarkWare in its report on quantum threats to crypto. It discusses account abstraction + ZK-STARKs as tools to reduce wallets’ exposure to quantum attacks. And its message to the industry is clear: act now and accelerate the transition to post-quantum security. That’s exactly the path we’re taking. We’ve been pioneering STARKs since 2018. Now we’re working to complete Starknet’s transition to full post-quantum security, with 2027 as our target. One by one, our choices are being validated inside and outside the crypto industry.

Cairo programs can be proven with STARKs, whose commitments use hashes rather than elliptic-curve hardness. The proving layer has a post-quantum foundation, with security depending on its hashes, parameters and implementation. quantum.starkware.co/foundat…

1/ Privacy, quantum security, and Bitcoin: three of crypto’s hardest problems, representing trillions in potential economic value. Starknet is going after all three with $STRK sitting at the center of it. I put the entire thesis into one place: starknetthesis.io/
