I wish I could get rid of the clouds, and reclaim the sunshine...but it appears it may be gone forever.

I feel like I've been sleepwalking through life, content to stay in my shellshocked nightmare as I felt sorry for myself. But...I am not an extension of anyone else. How did I allow myself to be defined by him?! How did I forget that I'm a warrior?!
Still learning to love myself after you walked away. Still learning to stop hating myself. I'm never blamed you, never hated you. I just assumed I wasn't enough.

Perhaps it is time I bring an end to my self-imposed exile, no longer feeling weakness and self-pity as I bloom like the oleander.
