Happy Labor Day! About 85 million Americans have persistent symptoms after they got a COVID infection. That’s called Long Covid. That’s your reward for being a good little worker. #LaborDay #FuckYourMild

🚨 Long COVID Isn’t "In Your Head"—It’s In Your Bone Marrow. 🚨 Ever wonder why standard blood work looks "normal" while your body feels like it's on fire? It turns out your cell factories and blood vessels are locked in a silent, explosive feedback loop. Here’s the step-by-step pathology of what’s actually happening under the microscope: 🩸 The 4-Step Chain Reaction The Infected Factory šŸ SARS-CoV-2 doesn't just pass through—it infects the megakaryocytes (the parent cells in your bone marrow). Trojan Horse Platelets šŸ«€ These infected factory cells shed pre-armed, hyper-reactive platelets loaded with viral remnants into your bloodstream. The Enzyme Flood (MMP-9) 🧪 These rogue platelets dock onto neutrophils, forcing them to dump massive amounts of MMP-9—an enzyme that chews through connective tissue and breaks down the Blood-Brain Barrier. The Cell Bomb (pMLKL) šŸ’„ Between microclots choking off oxygen and relentless viral signaling, the cell’s safety switch breaks. pMLKL is triggered—punching literal holes in cell membranes so they explode (necroptosis) instead of dying quietly. > The Result? Continuous microvascular damage, tissue remodeling, and autonomic chaos (POTS/Dysautonomia). This isn't "anxiety", it’s objective, measurable pathology. šŸ“š The Receipts (References) Megakaryocyte / Bone Marrow Infection: Bomsel et al. — Demonstration of SARS-CoV-2 megakaryocyte infection and persistence in human bone marrow niches driving systemic platelet abnormalities. Platelet Hyper-reactivity & Microthrombi: Pretorius et al. — Persistent microclots and systemic platelet activation in Post-Acute Sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC). MMP-9 & Barrier Degradation: Ueland et al. / Essential PASC Biomarkers — Matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) elevation as a primary driver of extracellular matrix degradation and endothelial damage. pMLKL & Necroptosis (Inflammatory Cell Death): Kaiser et al. / Wallach et al. — RIPK3-mediated phosphorylation of MLKL (pMLKL) as the executioner threshold for membrane pore formation and necroptotic cell lysis during persistent viral inflammation. Spread the clarity. Our community deserves answers rooted in hard science, not hand-waving and blocking. šŸ§¬šŸ”„ #LongCovid #InfectedBoneMarrow #PAISConferences #WeNeedTestsandTreatment #LongCovidisLongCovid

So some of you don’t have time & energy to do things that actually help people DYING from LC, but you can grift in the pay-to-play system that is killing us. Got it. Go support actual patients doing the real work. Oh yeah, Covid is killing everyone & giving kids dementia šŸ–•

The Alphabet Soup Binder is a Long Covid & Covid Vaccine Injury Symptom Tracker and Medical Defense System. It’s a 40-page modular system made specifically FOR us, but don't worry, it's not overwhelming. It's designed for you to use only what you need. It works perfectly on a tablet (and is fully linked for apps like GoodNotes, Notability, & Apple Notes) or it can be printed. I use it in a 3-ring binder with tabs. I like my privacy. I genuinely believe this can make a difference in how we're treated by doctors, insurance, and the legal system. While I am using anything raised from sales to survive, if you’ve lost your income to this nightmare and need this, please just click the link and email me for a hardship copy. I’m not here to sell you a miracle; I’m here to survive and maybe help you in the process. payhip.com/b/YGm5b

I knew my brain was toast within months of my first infection. It took years to get a doctor to listen and run test to prove what I already knew. This is going to happen to so many people. This is just the beginning.
Someone reached out to me a couple of weeks ago, went to college, he's been diagnosed with a progressive brain condition that will end in dementia and death. Anyone else finding out that everything we've been trying to stop is happening? :(

Covid causes brain damage with every infection. This is a known fact that the media continues to ignore leaving the vast majority ignorant to what Covid really is. It’s a SARS virus and it’s causing dementia in millions of people including kids. There’s no treatment or cures. The only thing we can do is not get Covid. Stop being stupid. Stop spreading Covid.

Covid broke my brain in ways that I can’t even explain. Its heartbreaking watching people I care about experience the same things. They do not see me and they don’t hear my warnings. I know what the future holds. I know the pain and suffering that is coming for so many people and I do not have the strength to watch.

COVID-19 infection has been linked to a range of lasting neurological and psychological disorders, including depression, memory problems, and Parkinson’s-like disorders, within the first year following infection. #longcovid #notrecovered neurosciencenews.com/covid-1…

Getting covid increases your risk of developing some form of mental illness or psychiatric disorder. Guess what increases your chances of getting neuro Long Covid? So get the virus that gives you the comorbidities that cause you to develop degenerative brain disease. Yeah that sounds like a good plan šŸ‘ Vaccination prior to SARS-CoV-2 infection does not prevent the neurologic manifestations of long COVID academic.oup.com/braincomms/…

I wish that I could convey the seriousness of what is happening, but it seems that no matter how many times I keep telling my story, no matter how many times I share stories of others like me, people still don’t understand. The brain stuff is like being stuck in your body while someone else is in charge. The pain and discomfort caused is immeasurable. Just trying to do anything that requires more than a couple steps to complete is so exhausting for my brain that it will force me to have to lay down after. Sometimes I forget how to read or write or do math. Some days I can’t walk or stand because my brain can’t talk to the rest of my body so my legs don’t work. Sometimes my mouth won’t make words when I talk but I can’t tell that I’m not making real words. Some days I can’t recognize people’s face or everyone looks the same. Some days I can’t understand people when they speak. My brain cannot process it. This doesn’t even scratch the surface of what is happening. My brain thinks everything is normal. But it’s not. This is not normal. None of this.
It has been 5 years since the Covid infection that destroyed my smell & taste, made my brain burn for months, & erased my emotions (& decadeslong anxiety/PTSD symptoms, which seems pretty not normal). When I was cooking yesterday, I accidentally placed a hand towel on a burner. I was standing next to it & I still couldn’t smell it burning. The smoke detector finally alerted me to the burning towel so I addressed it. Later, I realized I put the butter up in the microwave instead of the fridge. My brain is not well. I am completely numb all the time & nothing fazes me. I know this is all very, very wrong but it’s like I’m outside my body & nothing matters. I saw neurology once & they were insulting & dismissive & it was EXTREMELY uncomfortable, so I will probably not be getting help for these issues. Apparently this is all normal in The New Normal. I’m-43 years-old. The number of Americans reporting only a cognitive disability has increased 43% since 2019. We are in so much trouble.

Why is PEM the only symptom anyone seems to focus on? People should be way more worried about the brain fusing that leads to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
