I’d like to update you on the recent PHP security vulnerabilities and the wave of cyber incidents making headlines right now. ALOT of companies and platforms are reportedly being targeted. Railway has confirmed a security incident, and we’re also seeing reports involving RealmsDAO and others. There’s also been plenty of discussion surrounding Node.js, Python, Linux, GitLab, and more. Not all claims have been confirmed, and these incidents aren’t necessarily connected. Rumours are even circulating about banks being affected, although these claims remain unverified. No need to panic, BUT keep in mind that mailing lists and personal information may also be at risk. There’s a good chance that in the upcoming days, weeks, or months, you may receive convincing emails with messages like: “Your account has been compromised.” “Change your password.” “Someone is trying to log into your account.” Messages along those lines. DO NOT CLICK SUSPICIOUS LINKS. Always verify security alerts directly through official websites or apps. When in doubt, IGNORE. YEET. IMG PROTOCOL // SECURITY UPDATE Earlier today, IMG’s rewards wallet was compromised by malicious activity. Our team identified the issue quickly and took immediate action to contain the situation. The transfer-fee withdrawal authority has since been moved to a newly generated wallet, and the rewards system has been successfully restored. This afternoon’s SOL rewards were distributed as scheduled, and the new system is operating as intended. Importantly, IMG’s infrastructure wallet and its funds were not affected.
