π¨ $HUT HIGHRISE AI HIRES NEW VP TO SCALE GPU FLEET TO 20,000+!
Hut 8's wholly owned neocloud subsidiary, Highrise AI, has hired Erik Grundstrom as VP of AI Infrastructure to help lead its massive GPU expansion.
Erik brings over 25 years of infrastructure experience, including leadership roles at:
πΉ Core42: VP, AI Platform Infrastructure
πΉ Applied Digital ($APLD): VP, HPC Infrastructure
πΉ Supermicro ($SMCI): Director, Field Applications Engineering & Business Development
The timing isn't a coincidence. Hut 8 is developing a $500 MILLION, 50 MW AI data center in Batavia, Illinois, with plans to deploy approximately 20,000 NVIDIA GPUs for Highrise AI. And the project has been making significant progress.
Batavia city officials recently confirmed that the development has completed ALL power and grid approvals, clearing a major hurdle toward bringing the facility online.

Each physical AP 201 is registered on Avalanche, while Bloxtelβs dSIM technology moves subscriber identity and authentication onchain.
From factories and warehouses to hospitals and stadiums, this puts real-world telecommunications infrastructure directly on Avalanche.

Big $CLSK ποΈ
The $2.227B senior secured note offering has launched. It has NOT priced yet.
For shareholders wondering what happens next, recent AI data center financings give us a useful timeline.
$CIFR Stingray:
β’ June 8: $810M offering launched
β’ June 8: priced at 6.00%
β’ June 15: closed
$HUT Beacon Point:
β’ June 4: $4.25B offering priced at 6.129%
β’ June 9: closed
Both moved from market launch/pricing to closing within days.
So for $CLSK, my base case timeline:
π Sept. 17β21: pricing
π Sept. 22β28: closing
If the book is heavily oversubscribed, CLSK could price as early as tonight or tomorrow.
The number that matters the most is the coupon + issue price.
The financing and the deal is worth a few billion dollars to the equity shareholders. No ATM needed.
Texas can be leased.
$CLSK can be a $10B+ MCap AI Data center key player by 2028, if not earlier.

On September 15, 1965, the Ford Motor Company became the first automaker to offer factory-optional 8-track tape players in their passenger cars, debuting the system in 1966 Mustangs, Thunderbirds, and Lincolns. Developed alongside Bill Lear, Motorola, and RCA Victor, the 8-track allowed drivers to cruise down the highway playing their favorite albums on demand instead of being tied to local radio stations.
πΈ The 8-track tape was famous for its mechanical thunk right in the middle of a song when switching between stereo programs. What song do you remember getting interrupted by that infamous mid-track click? πΈ ποΈ Did you have an 8-track in your car?

Reports show RTX 5090 cards purchased by the pallet, despite prices over $5,000 each.
Compared with Nvidiaβs $16,000 RTX 6000 Pro, a 5090 with 32GB of VRAM looks like a bargain for AI workloads.

We need to stop calling the RTX 5090 a βgaming GPUβ

Every other compute network asks a provider to expose an endpoint to the internet: a static address, an open port, a certificate. That requirement is what starves them, because the hard side of a compute market has never been buyers.
Here the machine dials out and holds the line. Work arrives down the connection it already made, and the result goes back up the same one.
