JUST IN: President Trump says he is signing an emergency order to "free up forests" for more lumber production in the United States. An influx of new, cheap lumber will drastically reduce the cost of new housing construction. LET'S GO! "We're freeing up our forests. We're going to be able to take down trees right now. We're so restricted environmentally... We have more forests than almost anybody. We don't need anybody's trees. We don't need trees from Canada or anybody else." This is how we'll actually solve the housing affordability crisis, NOT by sending government subsidies to anyone.

Endor might be a lot closer than a galaxy far, far away — it was filmed in California’s Redwood National and State Parks! The park contains almost 39,000 acres of coast redwood, some of the tallest and oldest trees on Earth. Happy #StarWarsDay, may the forest be with you!
Did you know that forest management in the U.S. and Canada operates under federal, state, provincial and local regulations to protect water quality, wildlife habitat, soil and other natural resources. In the U.S., more forest land is lost to development, than forestry 🌳
People talking about #forests, #forestry, and being #forestproud…or maybe just hanging out after a good first day of our conference. Day 1 in the books!

One important element of the #timber industry's work is replanting in #wildfire impacted areas. Check out these great shots of our member @CollinsWood1855 planting 90,000 seedlings on its lands in the footprint of the #DixieFire earlier this week. #forestproud

🌲Trees are truly amazing, they slow down rain that falls, sending more water into the underground water supplies. Thank you to the private forest landowners for managing over 445 million acres of forestland and helping keep our water clean during #NationalWaterQualityMonth.
