HOSA students recently had an incredible opportunity to strengthen their leadership and advocacy skills through the HOSA Washington Leadership Academy, representing HOSA, CVCC, and career-technical education on the national stage. As part of the Academy, students participated in leadership and advocacy training focused on communicating the value and impact of CTE to policymakers. A highlight of the experience was a meeting with U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno, where Ohio HOSA State Officers shared their experiences in career-technical education and discussed how their programs are preparing them for college, careers, and life beyond high school. We’re incredibly proud of the students for representing HOSA, CVCC, and CTE with professionalism and confidence—especially our own Maddie Zemko (@bbhcsd), Dental Assisting senior! Experiences like this give students the opportunity to take their learning beyond the classroom, develop valuable leadership skills, and use their voices to advocate for the future of career-technical education. 🌟 #CVCC #CVCCWorks #HOSA #CTE #CareerTech #CareerTechnicalEducation #StudentLeadership #StudentAdvocacy #CVCCProud
