تقریباً 15 سال بعد وہ اپنے گھر واپس لوٹے، دیوار توڑی اور اپنی محفوظ لائبریری دوبارہ حاصل کرلی۔ دیوار کے پیچھے سینکڑوں دینی و علمی کتابیں، قرآنِ کریم کی قراءت سے متعلق اجازت نامے اور دیگر اہم دستاویزات موجود تھیں، جو برسوں بعد بھی محفوظ رہیں۔

असम के गोलपाड़ा के कृष्णाई में पांच गांवों के 75 परिवारों के घरों पर बुलडोज़र चला दिया गया। इन परिवारों पर आरोप था कि इन परिवारों ने जिस ज़मीन पर घरों का निर्माण किया है, वो ज़मीन कृषि भूमि के तौर पर दर्ज है। यह कार्रवाई ‘भूमि संरक्षण समिति’ की शिकायतों के बाद की गई। समिति ने आरोप लगाया था कि दूसरे जिलों से आए प्रवासियों ने अवैध रूप से कब्ज़ा कर रखा है।
सवाल यह है कि क्या ध्वस्तिकरण की इस कार्रावाई में सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्देशों का पालन किया गया है? क्योंकि पीड़ितो का कहना है कि उन्हें एक दिन पहले नोटिस दिया गया, और अगले दिन बुलडोज़र चला दिया गया। जबकि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने स्पष्ट कहा था कि बुलडोजर कार्रावाई से पंद्रह दिन पहले नोटिस देना है।
