ALT A composite image of paintings, scientific graphs, and maps by artist Jocelyn Catterson and scientist Holly Barnard. Their work explores the ways communities of the San Luis Valley, Colorado are experiencing and responding to issues tied to groundwater. The paintings are mostly light-colored outlines and fills on a dark background, with multiple panels showing trees with flames and smoke, dwindling graph lines, growing plants and roots, an illustrated graph of snow accumulation, and more.
