The latest CoCREATE update (bit.ly/CoCREATENov19) aims to keep all @WeAreTUDublin stakeholders up to date on the dev. of our Quality Curriculum Framework.Recent weeks have been crazy, but we have now spoken with almost 1000 stakeholders, seeking their opinion for our Framework
The December CoCREATE update (bit.ly/CoCREATEDec19) outlines the process and prototype from two days of intensive synthesis. The emergent TU Dublin Curriculum Framework is still very much at the 'Prototype' stage, but we seek feedback from all @WeAreTUDublin stakeholders.
@CTudublin will present at the College of Sciences and Health Academic Board this morning; part of the 'winning hearts and minds' phase of the project. Teaching Fellows will speak at all @WeAreTUDublin College/Campus Academic Boards over the next month to raise project awareness

Thanks to @glynnmark, Rachel O'Connor and Sandra Thompson for their excellent talks today & for assisting in the facilitation of the afternoon workshop. More to come on co-curricular and other values within the @WeAreTUDublin Quality Curriculum Framework over the next few months

Was great to be @CTudublin event this morning on importance of recognising extra curricular activities. Also good to see senior teaching and learning players like @glynnmark embedding the language of #UDL in their work.

An excellent afternoon session; focussing on what and how to embed & recognise co-curricular activities in the new @WeAreTUDublin Quality Curriculum Framework. The big take-home message is the need for support & recognition for staff & students engaged in co-curricular activities
The students note that STLR gives you opportunities to speak out and move out of your comfort zone; speaking at todays 'academic' event was seen as a challenge...but rewarding!
More students speak now on their first year General Business programme as why she get involved in STLR?
It is a competitive advantage and it is formally recognises soft-skills. It also documents your journey, sometimes you forget all the skills you develop.
The @WeAreTUDublin STLR record allows the student to produce a bespoke, printable record ready for job/further studies applications.
The three levels (exposure, integration and transformation) is like swimming according to @dervan_paul. Exposure is dipping your toe in the water, integration is the shallow end of the pool, transformation is the deep end!
How STLR is assessed? A learning artefact (e.g. reflective journal) assessed by academic staff on three levels (exposure, integration and transformation).
What is transformative learning...the development of beyond discipline skills (@TransformEDU1). STLR provides formal recognition for transformative learning gained inside and outside the classroom.
Sandra jokingly notes that STLR is not the beer, or the magazine, but instead stands for Student Learning Transformative Learning Record (@TransformEDU1)!
Sandra Thompson is now presenting on STLR from @TUDublinBN; she seeks to showcase individual skills that may not be able to be clear from an exam/graduate transcript. @TransformEDU1
Another @wearetudublin LEAD graduate explains how they not only developed themselves as a leader, but also how they developed their understanding of what a leader is and has to be.
A @wearetudublin LEAD graduate now speaks on her experience of LEAD and how it helped her in many walks of life, not just in her professional practice. The skills developed are sometimes not recognised at third level; how can we, as academics, recognise and reward these skills?
A great, engaged audience attending the morning session exploring current practice locally (in @WeAreTUDublin) and a little further afield (in @DublinCityUni, via @glynnmark) in extra and co-curricular learning at third level.
