This project took ~3 years across multiple institutions, and I am grateful for guidance from @SongJin_Chem and my mentors at @NatLabRockies, Kai Zhu and Matt Beard. Many thanks also to our collaborators at @ChoiseEfrc, CU-Boulder, and U. Toledo for elevating this work! 🙌🎉
Very excited to share my first paper in @J_A_C_S!
Discover how stable & high-performance #leadfree quasi-2D perovskites can be rationally designed by "balancing" their structures with the right organic cations 👇

We also surveyed 60+ quasi-2D perovskite structures to show how this new "cage balancing" strategy can be broadly achieved and understood. Check it out!
Many thanks to @SongJin_Chem @PetrozzaGroup @DanCortecchia and colleagues for their contributions to this work! 🙌 (2/2)

Check out the lineup of talks from @SongJin_Chem group at #F23MRS.
Excited to be giving my first conference talk this Monday at the Boston MRS conference! Come check out my work with the @SongJin_group on the rational design of high stability 2D tin halide perovskites! @Materials_MRS #F23MRS
The @SongJin_group had a fun time tonight showing off why are crystals so awesome at the annual #WiSciFest Science on the Square! We had a mix of natural #crystals and lab-made #nanoparticles, lead-free #perovskite, & #electrochem. The crowd was awesome despite the rain! 1/2
Outreach is always very rewarding, and it's fun to see curious minds, young and old, leave feeling inspired. Huge thanks to everyone involved: Kristel, Gerardo, Jaan, Kaylin, Yareslie, and 1st year PhD students Jalianet and Rich @RBotz19!

Kinda frosty in MSP today, so I had the chance to see @Delta planes (mine included) being de-iced using propylene glycol. Cool to watch all the action! More if you're curious: news.delta.com/decoding-delt…
