The prestigious 'Spoon Bowl' is back for its 8th edition in the #NRL 🥄
Some tidbits:
- The last-placed team coming into the game has won 3/7 playoffs
- Souths & Norths played the only drawn spoon bowl
- Manly avoided their first (& only) spoon with a 1pt win over Norths
Huge congrats to @Saints1890 on taking out the 22’ GF vs @leeds_rhinos - 25 years since @SuperLeague took over the sport & there’s still only a select few clubs that can actually win the 🏆. The game needs massive reform - but doubt we will see it - nothing been done in 25yrs.
And there it is…
Leeds Rhinos have confirmed the signing of Zak Hardaker for the remainder of the 2022 season with the back set to join the squad ahead of Friday's clash with Hull KR at Headingley

And we’re here with my kids and good mate (although a Souffs supporter) Tillmar #showyourstripes #weststigers #nrl #NRLTigersSouths #rugbyleague
Big congrats to the lads… weakened @Saints1890 side - but you can only play what is in front of you. Stoked that we have strung a couple of performances together - should be good for our confidence. Onto next week… #castigers #castlefordtigers #SLCasSth #rugbyleague #COYF
I’ll throw in a curve ball option on ZH - played with both @JackoHastings & @OliverGildart3 at Wigan - who are both now at @WestsTigers - could they be in his ear to finish off his career down under with the Tigers 🐅 🐯 #zachardaker #weststigers #olivergildhart #jacksonhastings
Ex @CTRLFC back rower Mike McMeeken has agreed to extent his stay in the south of France.
Mike McMeeken has committed his future to @DragonsOfficiel after signing a new two-year deal with the club ✍

Lots of talk linking @CTRLFC & @leedsrhinos to ZH. Who wants him more? Who needs him more? Are @FevRoversRLFC a chance at gaining his signature? Heaps or talk - we’ll wait & see how it all pans out.
Hearing a rumour regarding Wigan and ex Cas player - Zac Hardakar - but can’t see anything on Wigan or SL web sites… where is this news coming from - spill the beans…!

Danger game - this fixture. Woolf is on record saying that they are coming into this match & chasing the 2pts. On the other hand - a win will see us with a 5-5 record and closer to that top 6 position… #castigers #castlefordtigers #SuperLeague #COYF

Super proud of our Tigers brothers - @WestsTigers - grabbing their first win of the season tonight against none other - then the @TheParraEels - well done lads! #NRLEelsTigers #nrl #weststigers #EasterMiracle #RugbyLeague
Saw a post on FB about the swap deal between Moore & McShane all those years ago. Can anyone remember the story behind that? We got a future club legend with that deal! But I can’t remember the reasons/mechanics behind it all?
Real solid performance - in what was a real danger game for @CTRLFC - best chance @WTrinityRL have had against us in a long time. Well done to the lads for holding their nerve & leaving with the 2 points. #castigers #castleforstigers #SuperLeague #SLWakCas #RugbyLeague
The @WestsTigers hired former @NRL referee @Thebadge72 to assist their players with the rules/talking to referees etc. Maybe @CTRLFC could talk to Badge or even @SilversRef to gain an advantage? Just a thought.
