That's why today we are announcing we now have scripts for 1 command install and setup for nodes and datum gateways on a Linux server.
Just input your payout wallet, and the script sets up a node, syncs it, and sets up a gateway for you to point your miners to.

Alright guys, it's time to clear the air a little bit here...
A lot has transpired in the last several weeks since I launched AlphaPool XBT mining and honestly? I have hope. I am human and I am not perfect. Looking back on the last 3 weeks, I have said/done things I would have preferred to not have. However, I don't have a time machine and so all I can do now is own my mistakes, learn from them and move forward on a better path and so that is what I am going to do.
This post is directed specifically to the Knots community and probably most of all @cguida6 @LukeDashjr @SpectrGen @GrassFedBitcoin .
This is effectively a formal apology letter from AlphaMine to the knots community. My express goal? I want to bury the hatchet and build a bridge and move forward, together. I am not going to just pay that idea lip service in a twitter post but rather continually make improvements day by day to further align with the knots ecosystem such that AlphaPool is a genuinely supportive partner and ecosystem participant.
In my walk of life, I was taught at an early age to leave things better than when I found them. And I have spent my entire existence living by that principle, offline and online. And I'll be damned if I am going to fall short of that now because of getting off on the wrong foot.
As you guys know, I showed up to the knots community pretty much completely oblivious to the knots vs. core debate and what happened on August 8th and the HF.... etc. Sure, I knew there was a disagreement and I saw headlines here and there but I was never paying attention to it and therefore was extremely naive to the situation.
However, that does not justify my behavior. Now, I am not saying everyone in the knots community is perfect and innocent; we all know it takes two to tango. However, I want to acknowledge and own the things I did wrong; honestly, and transparently. As I believe it is the only way to make this all water under the bridge and then move forward on the same team.
I spun up my pool on ~9/1 or so and was extremely excited to watch 100Th/s turn into 800Th/s in the span of just a few days. As a pool operator, it is exhilarating. After a few days of hashrate accumulation, I recall going to be one night with the pool around 1Ph/s and waking up to it being at 4Ph/s! 😅
I of course was ecstatic! However, this quickly became a problem as the pools hashrate continued to climb and with it, its share of the total network hashrate. Now, it is true that it is not my fault that hashrate sky rocketed like that... miners liked the pool I built and honestly? I was happy to see my pool doing what I built it to do.
BUT! Even though it was not "my fault" per say miners were pointing to my pool en masse, it is still MY responsibility. I did build the pool and now it was becoming a potentially lethal player in the ecosystem with the ability to legitimately launch an effective 51% attack against the network.
Now, I know I would never do that and everyone in the mining community who knows me knows I wouldn't do that. But the knots community does that know that lol and further, it is unacceptable for any single entity to wield that power over a block chain protocol, its just not decentralized in that scenario and it could literally kill a project. Especially a young one. Looking back on it? Their springing into action was sensible and warranted.
So an agreement was made between myself and the knots community for me to curb the hashrate at ~30% or lower. This is where I owe everyone an apology... I gave you all my word I would knock this item out of the park and stay at 30% or under "permanently" and I just didn't do it properly.
It is actually kind of tricky to pull it off perfectly but honestly? I could have just been more aggressive and targeted 25% and things would have worked better. But I didn't. I wrote the software to target a 28%-32% band and network hashrate fluctuates constantly and that makes things tricky when you are trying to run a reputable and stable mining pool. You cant just constantly drop miner connections.... it makes your pool shitty and unreliable. And to worsen matters everyday I was basically being accosted by the pleb army lol. And so what should have been a simple resolution turned into a long term back and forth between myself and the protocol members.
This is formal apology for that. I'm owning that I did not do an adequate job adhering to my 25%-30% target and for that; I am truly sorry, to everyone. However, the fat lady as not sung yet. At least I don't think so anyway.
The other thing that I did is troll along the way. I changed the pools block tags to "CEO of LukeCoin" for no other reason than to just be an asshole. I also made various posts here that had no other purpose than to troll. And I mean, it just wasn't helpful and made the situation worse. And so if I am going to sincerely try and work together with everyone? I think I owe you guys an apology for that as well. And so, I am sorry for that too.
There are definitely some other detailed items and some nuance and I guess I don't know that getting lost in the weeds of the last 3 weeks in that regard is super helpful for any other reason than to learn from it and inform me on how to best move forward and work together.
In my mind, the major throughline is that the last 3 weeks have been crappy and I am sorry for the role I played in making that worse than it needed to be. And I am here now doing everything I can to move in the opposite direction, the right direction. I want us all to work together and I genuinely believe we can and will do that.
So please feel free to air out any grievances and I will own my part and seek to move forward, together.
This week my main focus for AlphaPool is launching a Decentralized Pleb Run Node marketplace where miners can purchase nodes from plebs and then use them to mine via DATUM.

Playing by the protocol rules while the other side tries post-hoc blacklists and freezes is peak irony. Valid blocks stay valid; selective punishment of miners who followed consensus just proves the network is soft on its own principles. Chaos like this forces the real test: either stick to open rules or admit it's a club with veto power. Commitment to workarounds keeps the pressure honest.

Buy a fixed amount of mining work. Pay once on chain. Real miners point their rigs at a block template that pays your address. If a block is found on your shares, the coinbase pays you directly. The pool never touches the reward.
How it's different from renting hashrate:
- You buy shares, not hours. Every share is verified work at a fixed difficulty.
- Price is fixed when you order. Faster or slower delivery changes when the work arrives, never what you pay or what you get.
- No account. No KYC.
- If your order runs short of the window, it keeps mining as hashrate frees up, or refunds the rest.
For miners: set your worker password to "rent" and earn 5% more than regular mining while it's rented, and still participate in PPLNS window when it's not rented.
This should result in a hybrid payment model that is a merge of PPLNS and FPPS.
SHA-256 only for now.
Undo the 45 day lock so miners can actually get paid, and the devs focus on upgrades/software that makes users actually want to use and hold the coins they mine.
So much energy has been spent trying to stop miners from dumping, the community has never stopped to ask “Why are they dumping”
Give them reason not to and they won’t.
