Today, we remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, including the Connecticut residents who never returned home. We honor the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger, the service members who answered the call in the years that followed, and the families who continue to carry the weight of that day. Twenty-five years later, we will never forget. May God bless the fallen, their families, and the United States of America.

Danbury’s City Council voted 18-2 to let non-citizens, including DACA recipients, serve as police officers. The vote came right after ICE operations in the city that produced more than 60 arrests. One councilman called the federal enforcement an “invasion” and said the vote “sends a message.” When Democrats treat immigration enforcement as an invasion and a police badge as a talking point, they’ve got their priorities backward.
