Today, Ukrainian intelligence reportedly launched 117 attack drones from trucks that had been placed near Russian air bases. I tasked several collects this morning via @umbraspace and my first images have already started processing. What a remarkable success in a well-executed operation.

I dont quite like the netting over the TK-3 engagement radar. One, it doesnt appear to be effective, two, it probably limits the rotation of the radar.

An interesting perspective on the launch of the Ukrainian FP-1 strike drone
Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery with FP-1 drones 🔥
The Yaroslavl Refinery is one of russia's largest oil refineries and a key facility in its refining industry. Its capacity is about 15 million tons of oil per year. The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene and other petroleum products critical to the country's fuel supply.

In 1914 Harry L. Bowdoin filed a patent for a "Submarine Armor", it was granted in 1915, and by 1918 he had completed his invention, a 1,400-pound metal diving suit. Designed to explore deep-sea caves and sunken ships, the all-metal atmospheric armor used gears and levers so the diver could move the oil-filled rotary arms and legs. Twin 1,000-watt lamps on the shoulders lit the darkness, and tests off the New Jersey coast had already lowered the empty suit to 400 feet and Bowdoin himself to 200 feet, where he walked the seabed for 45 minutes.
The suit and Bowdoin gained fame with an attempt to salvage the sunken treasure of Spanish gold and jewels from the Golden Hoard of Davy Jones, which was believed to be worth more than USD80 million. Supported by “men of wealth”, the expedition aimed to have Bowdoin descend to the seabed in his suit and retrieve the many treasures as well as study the mysterious realm below.
The outcome of the expedition isn’t known, and little further information has been printed on the suit’s design.👀

Lost my phone at the office and spent 30 minutes turning the place over. Find My was disabled by MDM.
Out of ideas, I asked Claude how I could find it. It suggested tracking the Bluetooth signal strength, then wrote me a meter in about a minute.
I walked around watching the number climb. Found it.
Apparently you can just make the tool you need now.

NASA has released one of the most detailed visualizations ever created of Earth’s ocean currents.
Using data from satellites and advanced ocean models, the map reveals massive rivers of moving water, swirling eddies hundreds of miles wide, and the powerful Gulf Stream carrying warm water from the Gulf of Mexico across the Atlantic.

The methodology draws together established geospatial analysis with techniques more commonly associated with 3D modelling, animation and visual effects.
For us, that cross-disciplinary approach creates new ways to test, explore and engage with intelligence problems.

With that measurement established, we placed the digital twin into a simulated 3D water plane and adjusted its position until the model matched the observed height of the real vessel.
This allowed us to estimate the Yu Son's draft.
Chris Biggers retweeted
We then anchored the model to measurements derived from the satellite imagery itself.
Using the length of the vessel's shadow and the recorded sun elevation at the time of collection, we were able to calculate the height of the Yu Son above the waterline.

Using multiple camera projection and rotoscopy techniques, we progressively matched wireframes of the model to silhouettes visible in imagery.
