It makes no sense to throw litter and risk a £500 penalty
The vast majority of people just take it with them and find a bin
🚯🚯🚯🤦♂️
#ForBucksSake
Tempted to dispose of your litter out the window while you’re on the road? If you’re caught doing this in Bucks, you’ll be receiving a Fixed Penalty Notice of £500 – take it home, #ForBucksSake. Find out more: orlo.uk/ETv3m 🚮 🥫

Councils are, sadly, part of Britain’s litter problem. Too many of them just don’t empty their bins regularly enough. There are no excuses for them not doing this.

I met with Sir Kier Starmer and Yvette Cooper as they visited Thames Valley Police today. I’m pleased that the success we’re having in tackling knife crime is getting cross-party interest.
I’ve pushed the police to take a tougher approach to knife possession offences through…🧵

Day 9 – Leanne’s story
*Trigger warning*
Leanne (not her real name) was a victim of coercive control and domestic abuse
If Leanne’s story feels familiar, please reach out to Victims First for support. Call us on 0300 1234 148 or live chat at victims-first.org.uk
#16days
ALT Graphic reads "Leanne's Story". A green speech bubble contains the text "I felt I was constantly walking on eggshells with my partner. There was nothing I could do that would make him happy and he always changed the goalposts. He would confuse, distract, and manipulate every situation to maintain control. He would insult or put me down all the time.” The Victims First logo is in the bottom right corner.
